Well, the World Wide Web was first started in 1988 or 1989 at Fermi Lab or at CERN.

But "the internet" goes back to the 1960's.

Many people are unable to distinguish between the two.

html code is just as old as the i net too it was designed for the world wide web that was to be launched into outer space ,a connection of sattelites containing libraries of information..the system was called Xanadu pronounced Zana doo

so the concept of the world wide web is nothing new...you were close though...its the same company..sort of

the first fax machine was invented in 1909 ...cool huh
