So besides the MadCatz pedals (which I personally really like for exactly the reason I am going to bring up) why do even the most expensive kits seem to have pedals that are straight up and down at 0 force and pivot around a point under your foot?
While it seems in theory that that's a good way to do things, I find it very awkward as the center of the pivot for the pedal is pretty far from my ankle where my foot pivots...
In real cars the pedals come down from above and pivot away at a very different angle, one which I find very comfortable (and probably why pedals are designed that way now as opposed to old cars where pedals really did come up from the floor). So my question is why don't more companies at least make the effor that mad catz did and put something that feels more like a reagular car pedal on their setups?
