Whats Your Mileage??

My parents think so. They never drive a vehicle for more than 5 years without buying a new one. Most of the time the vehicle fails to make it four years before we buy a new one. We don't buy used vehicles either. My mom just chooses to get a new car, but my dad gets paid by the mile when he drives for business so he can't have a car older than four years. In Wisconsin 5 years on salty roads is a lot.

Ha after a year here in Buffalo NY, your new car ages a couple years each winter. We don't plow up here, we salt, and salt, till the budget won't let us buy anymore.[/QUOTE]

I know that feel, except they plow in Rochester which is a bit less fun.

So, who has the highest mileage vehicle on GTPlanet? :P

'91 Toyota Corrola, 240,570 miles, original everything. I think I might have to change the starter soon.

Wow, that's one of them.

Me: '85 Parisienne - 219,600 KMS.

How'd ya miss mine? Haha. My trucks got 665k on her. 300 on the body, 600 on the frame. Then again that thing went EVERYWHERE and shes still chugging.

665k?! I'd be lucky to see 100k on mine.

It's been maintained very very very well over the years. Stripped down and rebuilt only replacing parts that were bad. But yes the original frame has that much. Undercoated, sandblasted, painted, you name it, it's been done. I have a picture of the speedometer with the mileage but one of the numbers is tough to see from the glare. You can still make it out though. The 10th of a mile was converted to a full mile in 1987 so that it wouldn't roll over every 100,000, only every million or so.

On a Subaru? Why that low?
The STI doesn't have the most reliable engine in the world. My friend's motor in his '06 STI failed with only ~40,000 miles. Oil pickup tube cracked and starved the engine of oil. Kaboom.

I am kinda joking though about not reaching 100k. I've done all the maintenance known to cause problems. But if I'm going to autocross the car this year, then who knows. :sly:

Couldn't remember yours exactly, but yea... That's gotta be it lol. :dunce:

If we're talking about Fords here, I think you're a little confused. They all rolled at 100,000 until the gauges went digital in '92.

1991 F150 straight Six - 186,000 miles currently. More to come!
1993 Suzuki GS500 - got no clue on miles, I've put on 4500 since october though

My Fiesta has just under 120k miles (193k kilometers). I have put about 11k miles on it in my 2 years of owning it and it still drives perfectly :).

Edit: Also my car also has that when I bought it, it showed 08xxx as 99,999 is as high as it can display.

Yes that's what I'm saying. Every 100,000 they would roll over because the 6th digit would be counted as a tenth of a mile instead of a mile. My father modded it in '87 so that it would count full miles instead of a tenth, so that it wouldn't roll over every 100,000, but every million. Theres a little ticker in there that when you pull it apart, you can adjust the spring to roll the wheel at certain intervals.

My moms 2004 Ford Expedition has 180k miles
My moms 2010 Ford Edge has 60k miles
My dads 2008 Lexus RX-350 has 120k miles
