Having said that, why did you have to buy it separately? It came as standard with my T3PA Pro's.
It didn't come as standard with my T500 wheel when I bought it. Only a separate metal spring came with the package.

$100 US is a tough order to fill. I do not of any new stands in that price range. I suggest trying to find a used stand. Suggest you google or ebay or local listing, used rigs or stands. May take a while. I bought my rig used and saved a sizable amount of money. Took me over a month till the correct rig appeared. I also sold my stand for only $50.00.
If you are handy you can always build your own. Just a thought. Good luck.

I'm getting a new sim rig set-up when GTS comes out. So far, I know I'll be getting the playseat challenge but still on the fence about the which wheel.

Before, I was set on the T300RS, but I hear bad things about the reliability. Now my priority has shifted to getting the wheel with the largest diameter, that's compatible with PC/PS4.

Any suggestions?

Question, is there any Wheel Stands for a DFGT that doesn't cost that much?

Something along the lines of the rennsport wheel stand should fit the bill. Can't think of much else at that price point.

I always had to weight it down with a few textbooks behind the pedals, but it was very solid and got the job done - never had any issues with it.

Soemthing similar to it.

Hello all
I'm Pete from UK.
I'm new here and straight with the question:

I'm about to buy Playseat Evolution but I've read quite few opinions that post in the middle might be an issue for some. Unfortunately I have no way of checking if it will bother me or not. Can someone give me some idea of pros and cons of that solution, what should I take under consideration. I'm using T300 wheel with T3PA Pro pedals.
Also if anyone has any different suggestions for £300 rig I would gladly look into it.

Hi Pete, welcome!

Happy owner of a Playseat with T3PA pedals. I've moved the brake pedal plate to the max left side. It works fine for me. But I know what you mean. I also had to get used to it. For some it can be annoying to have that pole between your legs and therfor you have not much "open space" to freely roam around with your feet.
Pics say more then 1000 words (hope my wife is also reading this ;) )

Welcome Pete! What about making your own? I got a seat of ebay for about 50 quid and spent another 50 quid on wood and screws. The other benefit is that you can get the dimensions perfect for your size.

Personally, I would never invest in something with a middle post.
I need the freedom to move my legs/feet around (for heel-and-toe shifting and left-foot braking) - I've tried it before and I can't do this with a middle post.

I'm not saying it won't serve you (apparently others get around it), but since you have a pedal set with a clutch pedal, I'd look better into it before spending such amount of money.

Yep my next one will probable also be a fully personalized DIY

To add: I am happy with my Playseat for now and when I bought it a while ago I was completely new to Sim hardware. Playseat is most advertised and popular here in the Netherlands (maybe because it's Dutch?) so at that time it was the easiest pick without good research....I registered at GT Planet afterwards :nervous:

But if I have to buy another one today I would also choose one without the middle post. But to find a good other for 300?! Then is DIY a good alternative.
GT Omega, RSeat and since yesterday I know the existence of Simetek --> http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/i...-your-rig-thread-console-edition.37280/page-8

Thanks for the quick response guys.

@BrainsBush
Hahaha :D
Thanks for the pictures! You're absolutely right -pics say it all!
I'm not sure if that will work for me. Spacing between pedals was perfect out of the box so would much rather leave it as it it. That pole looks bang in the middle so I think I'll have to search for something else.

@PzR Slim
I was considering building my own but I've done that before and would like to get something more professional. It's also about the space. Playseat can be folded to minimise footprint and that is quite compelling factor for me.
I would love to get GT Omega but that seems too big. so I've found this:

https://www.raceroomstore.com/shop_en/game-seat-rr3055.html

It seems to be similar to Playseat and has no pole in the middle. It's a little more expensive but still around £300
I will do some research and let you know what I've decided.

Thanks again!

No problem. I recently dumped my DIY rig when I bought a Next Level Motion Platform V3. I went the whole hog and bought the GT Ultimate V2 cockpit. Seem like you have found what you are looking for. Enjoy!

I subbed a ticket with RSeat yesterday. Like 2 years ago I chatted with someone from there who was willing to make some light mods for me (increasing pedal base throw and making a longer wheelbase plate). So hopefully I'll get the same response and can order my RS1 in the next week or so. I did order some Fanatec CSL Elite pedals and pre-ordered the T-GT wheel too. I figured why wait 'til christmas and get stuff ready now for PCars 2 and GTS.

Oh, and @mrbasher your CPX adapter is worth 10x its weight in gold buddy

I still got no reply from RSeat about my mods, o well. The CSL Elite pedal faces are super sticky and don't let my slippery racing (bowling) shoes slide for perfect control, so I'm returning them. I ordered some CSP v3 pedals instead, aaaaand finally I ordered an RSeat N1 Black/Black racing seat! I just don't see a better rig on the market that has an ounce of aesthetics and I'm hoping I can get within a couple inches of my current config as I can race for hours and hours and hours (and have). Fingers crossed!

I recently bought a G29. And surprise surprise, the USB cable that plugs into the PlayStation is a wee bit short. Honestly, with the price of the wheel, why not make it a 5 meter cable, just to make sure it's long enough. But anyway, does any of you have any experience with using a USB extension cable? Know of won that works for sure. I've been googling it, and it seems to be a bit of a mixed bag, the luck people have had with it. Some work fine (but didn't write what cable they used), some got a bit of lag, some didn't get any response from the pedals, and others didn't work at all.
Thanks

The above rig is worthy of a view. No idea about pricing, but I would guess if your on a budget, this is not the rig for you. If you want a full motion rig, then you now have another choice.

YES PLEASE! I'm waiting to pull the trigger on it but need opinion from actual customers rather than youtube reviewers ;P

No prob mate, I'll be as thorough as I can. I'll also review the Fanatec CSL-E PS4 Edition while I'm at it. :)

I've had the GTultimate V2 for the past 6 months and have been very happy with it. Be interested to hear what you think of the F1GT.

Looking at reviews, it seems the F1GT is built from thicker wall steel RHS than their earlier products. I was keen on the GT Ultimate for a while, but every review says it's got a lot of flex in it, which I couldn't put up with personally. ISR specifically mentioned the F1GT having almost no perceivable flex while racing, whereas they were very vocal about the amount of flex the GTU had.

The only downsides it seems is the individual pieces have small gaps when bolted together, so if you yank on it, it'll wobble about. I don't see this as an issue though, as I'll just use some good, large washers to eliminate the gaps. The other downside is it only has two of the 3 Fanatec holes pre-drilled. Again, not a big deal, as I can easily drill the third hole. From what I've seen, pretty much all of the pre-built rigs you can buy need some kind of DIY to fix small flaws in their design. I've been watching and reading reviews of all the good rigs for months now, and it's led me to the conclusion that the best value for money rig out there is most likely the new F1GT. I hope my homework paid off lol.

Flex in the GTU? The only flex there is in the wheel mounting plate and I'm planning a bespoke solution to that. The F1GT doesn't appear to have a much better solution so I'd double check you are happy with that before laying down your hard earned. There is literally no flex with the chassis of the GTU, it's solid as a rock.

I agree about the DIY element. Everyone has different needs and it would be impossible for the manufacturers to cater for all of those needs so I think some degree of DIY is acceptable. Have you considered an aluminium profile rig? I recently bought a triple monitor mount made from alu profile and it's fantastic. Unbelievably solid. My next rig will be a self built alu profile rig. Check this website out https://sim-lab.eu/product-category/cockpit/

You need to buy your own seat but you can get a reasonably priced rig and you can find seats at a reasonable price too.
