Thanks, also looks a lot better as it hides the velcro webbing.That is very clever, sir.

It didn't come as standard with my T500 wheel when I bought it. Only a separate metal spring came with the package.Having said that, why did you have to buy it separately? It came as standard with my T3PA Pro's.
Question, is there any Wheel Stands for a DFGT that doesn't cost that much?
$100 or so probably.What is your idea of cost? Your budget?

Hello all
I'm Pete from UK.
I'm new here and straight with the question:
I'm about to buy Playseat Evolution but I've read quite few opinions that post in the middle might be an issue for some. Unfortunately I have no way of checking if it will bother me or not. Can someone give me some idea of pros and cons of that solution, what should I take under consideration. I'm using T300 wheel with T3PA Pro pedals.
Also if anyone has any different suggestions for £300 rig I would gladly look into it.
Welcome Pete! What about making your own? I got a seat of ebay for about 50 quid and spent another 50 quid on wood and screws. The other benefit is that you can get the dimensions perfect for your size.Hello all

Personally, I would never invest in something with a middle post.Hello all

Yep my next one will probable also be a fully personalized DIYWelcome Pete! What about making your own? I got a seat of ebay for about 50 quid and spent another 50 quid on wood and screws. The other benefit is that you can get the dimensions perfect for your size.
To add: I am happy with my Playseat for now and when I bought it a while ago I was completely new to Sim hardware. Playseat is most advertised and popular here in the Netherlands (maybe because it's Dutch?) so at that time it was the easiest pick without good research....I registered at GT Planet afterwardsPersonally, I would never invest in something with a middle post.
I need the freedom to move my legs/feet around (for heel-and-toe shifting and left-foot braking) - I've tried it before and I can't do this with a middle post.
I'm not saying it won't serve you (apparently others get around it), but since you have a pedal set with a clutch pedal, I'd look better into it before spending such amount of money.
Hi Pete, welcome!
Happy owner of a Playseat with T3PA pedals. I've moved the brake pedal plate to the max left side. It works fine for me. But I know what you mean. I also had to get used to it. For some it can be annoying to have that pole between your legs and therfor you have not much "open space" to freely roam around with your feet.
Pics say more then 1000 words (hope my wife is also reading this )

No problem. I recently dumped my DIY rig when I bought a Next Level Motion Platform V3. I went the whole hog and bought the GT Ultimate V2 cockpit. Seem like you have found what you are looking for. Enjoy!Thanks for the quick response guys.
@BrainsBush
Hahaha
Thanks for the pictures! You're absolutely right -pics say it all!
I'm not sure if that will work for me. Spacing between pedals was perfect out of the box so would much rather leave it as it it. That pole looks bang in the middle so I think I'll have to search for something else.
@PzR Slim
I was considering building my own but I've done that before and would like to get something more professional. It's also about the space. Playseat can be folded to minimise footprint and that is quite compelling factor for me.
I would love to get GT Omega but that seems too big. so I've found this:
https://www.raceroomstore.com/shop_en/game-seat-rr3055.html
It seems to be similar to Playseat and has no pole in the middle. It's a little more expensive but still around £300
I will do some research and let you know what I've decided.
Thanks again!

I'll be getting a Next Level Racing F1GT in the coming weeks if anyone is interested in a review.

YES PLEASE! I'm waiting to pull the trigger on it but need opinion from actual customers rather than youtube reviewers ;P

Flex in the GTU? The only flex there is in the wheel mounting plate and I'm planning a bespoke solution to that. The F1GT doesn't appear to have a much better solution so I'd double check you are happy with that before laying down your hard earned. There is literally no flex with the chassis of the GTU, it's solid as a rock.Looking at reviews, it seems the F1GT is built from thicker wall steel RHS than their earlier products. I was keen on the GT Ultimate for a while, but every review says it's got a lot of flex in it, which I couldn't put up with personally. ISR specifically mentioned the F1GT having almost no perceivable flex while racing, whereas they were very vocal about the amount of flex the GTU had.
The only downsides it seems is the individual pieces have small gaps when bolted together, so if you yank on it, it'll wobble about. I don't see this as an issue though, as I'll just use some good, large washers to eliminate the gaps. The other downside is it only has two of the 3 Fanatec holes pre-drilled. Again, not a big deal, as I can easily drill the third hole. From what I've seen, pretty much all of the pre-built rigs you can buy need some kind of DIY to fix small flaws in their design. I've been watching and reading reviews of all the good rigs for months now, and it's led me to the conclusion that the best value for money rig out there is most likely the new F1GT. I hope my homework paid off lol.
