we all know the wheel makes alot of differance most if not all top times are wheel but not everyone has got a wheel, so why didnt they make gt academy just pad . wheels are for pusseys who need all the advantage they can get, well done to all pad guys :sly:

Are you kidding me? It's better if you have a wheel because that's what you use in a real car anyway. It's not like they're going to hook up your DS3 to a real racing car now, is it? Please rethink before you post, especially when you only joined very recently. And even if you do get through to the finals, you will be forced to use a wheel anyway.

...I just can't tell.

I use both and I think that if you can remain calm under the pressure when your on a quick lap then a pad has as much potential as a wheel. It is much easier to learn with a wheel because you can be more consistent but not necessarily faster at first.

if you want a racing game that's mainly pad, go play shift 2 unleashed or hot pursuit. Gran Turismo is a DRIVING SIMULATOR. you don't need a wheel to experience the fun of gran turismo, but its better to use to be able to feel the experience of how the vast majority of cars handle differently.

I think for round 8, limiting the amount of times you can try is actually a fair thing to do, because let's face it, in real life, you have one chance at a corner, if you go off. You can't just reset it can you?

This gives both pad and wheel users a fair chance. Just my opinion though.
