When is enough and do you ever bite the bullet

Thanks to GTP forums and members this issue has exploded. It's all over Facebook, YouTube, and hopefully the marketing desks at Sony and Nissan (you did call didn't you? https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=174221). We all agree that this is crap and that these cheaters would get bounced from Round 4 based on the rules.

Now a question: If the issue isn't resolved by the end of the week when, if ever, do you bite the bullet and cut the corners to make the top 16?

- Do you never cut and hope that they get DQ'd? Maybe you're in maybe you're out but the competition part is over and your time is your time?
- Do you wait till late Sunday and, if it's not resolved, lay down a cheat lap?
- Do you improve as much as possible legally and then do a couple of cheats, this way if they disallow cheat laps you still have a good time, unless they just toss everyone who submits a cut lap?

I'm still well on the fence about this. Don't like the idea of cutting but I'm not morally opposed to it. It's just a flaw in the game and probably won't be an issue in round 3/4 or Silverstone. But if they keep the cheats and you don't move on then it certainly changes the quality of field.

I was 4th this morning and as far as I can tell only cutters have pushed me down to 11th. From comfortably in to on the bubble.

If it comes down to Sunday at 11pm and I'm not in the midwest top 16 I will cut the corners. But there's a few days before then. I'm not worried about it. The situation is not in my control, so I keep doing laps at Toscana and Indy while hoping the ice storm doesn't knock out my power.

Agreed on all accounts

i'm in the exact situation as you Choate51!, the ice is pretty bad here in ohio..

I closed the discussion on cheating because things were getting out of hand. I will open it up once people have a chance to cool off a little bit. But it is not an excuse to go ahead and create another topic on the same subject.
