When is Fifa gonna cater properly for the Scottish football fans?

Okay, I think it is about time that EA Sports put ALL the Scottish teams into their Fifa games, not just the premier ones.
I mean come on, there are teams and leagues that have appeared in the series for years that no one would ever play, yet us Scots have to make do with only our Premier league.
I would love to play as my local team. The full English league has been in it for a few years now, which is great - I love choosing a 3rd Division team and trying to climb the ranks.
So come on EA! Us here in the UK are probably some of the biggest buyers of the franchise, so put more effort into catering for us North of the border.
Any other Scots out there agree?

Does FIFA need another 50 half-star teams? :P

Fifa is supposed to be the complete football experience. Even the latest edition, Fifa 12, contains so much pointless fluff and game modes.
There are more teams in Scotland than just the premier league you know. I love nothing better than to take control of my local team and take it through the lower divisions to the top of the premier.

They only have 12 months between each game.
They have to implement something new, advanced tactical dribbling, crowd dynamic chanting or whatever is the buzz word for that year.

I haven't bought one since 10.
Quick question if I may. When doing a season mode, do they have cup runs included throughout the season now.

Cheers.

I'd love to play as Fort William, just to make them not suck nearly as much as in real life. A couple of seasons ago didn't they finish with an average of 14 goals conceded per game?

EDIT: Wasn't quite 14 goals, I was way off with that estimate. See here: http://uk.soccerway.com/national/scotland/highland-league/2008-2009/regular-season/

As a proud North Walien, I'd much rather see the League of Wales before any of the lower Scottish Leagues.

FIFA 2004 was a revelation for me. I was ecstatic at having the English Foobtall League. But these days, Wrexham play in the Conference so they're not in the game anymore. I don't think adding the LoW, the Conference or the Scottish Football League are high on EA's list of things to improve somehow.

you dont really have a hope in my opinion, i would take the;-
.argentinean league
.licensed brazilian league
.greek league
.turkish league
.japan j league
.licensed polish league

and more licenced stadiums to.

all before the lower IRN BRU's. im sure most players would agree to.

Simple fact is Scottish football is not as popular as the rest. It verges on pointless. At least until Rangers go bust and Celtic join the English leagues.

And even then it still wont be as popular.

It's not only that it isn't popular, it's also the fact that if they were to put more lower league scottish divisions in, then they'd have to put lower league continental teams in. Especially more so of those in eastern Europe.

I think EA do a fantastic job with the level of content needed to replicate the 300+ teams in the game already. I am like the above posts, a little bit dismayed though by the lack of stadiums. There are some really nice ones that aren't portrayed in the game.

I think my question may have got missed earlier.

When playing in league mode are cup runs included this year.

Thanks.

what do you mean league mode?, do u mean career or the tournament mode.

yes in career, has been for ages. no for tounament as theres no point. if you want to do a one off cup choose that. if you want to do a one off league choose that. if you want to do them simultaneously choose career.

Ah cheers mate. I own fifa10. Selected Barclays premier league and expected a cup run. I need to to career.

Career is the only thing I play. FA Cup runs, League Cup runs, Europa and Champions Cup runs if you get there. Never even bothered with tournament mode.

Been reading around on this one.
Has the GK bug in career been fixed?
Apparently when using custom formations, players transform into goal keepers.

Any other bugs to be aware off?

Many thanks.

The greatest football game - the greatest game - ever made did, in fact, include both the full four-tier professional Scottish game and the old League of Wales... And the IFA Irish League. And the League of Ireland.

Of course it's 16 years old at this point and you need a Commodore Amiga to play it (or an XBox - it was re-released on XBL more recently).

Sensible soccer was great for its time.
Big cup cricket on iPhone is sensible cricket, well in all but name.

The XBLA edition is sensible world of soccer, arguably the best version.

OT. When are Wales going to get an international team in FIFA?

Exactly what I was saying - specifically '96/'97 being the ultimate version.

Sensible Soccer only had a handful of fictional teams. SWOS truly was world football - and the best game ever made.

They were making Amiga games that recently? I thought that was dead long before the Playstation was launched. Next you'll be telling me people still play Pac Man and Space Invaders...*

*that was Internet sarcasm. Also, apologies for the minor digression.

Nothing will ever beat this in my eyes.
