Where do you get your nickname from?

Forget who called me by this name but it has stuck ever since; big al. I was almost 6 foot by the age of 13 and weighed about 155 then

Now, about 6'2 and 180 something

Max_DC is Max_Dreamcast :D ... yes the sega machine... well long long time ago, in the last century actually, I wanted to register somewhere and "max" was already a registered username so I decided to take the DC from my first import console...the almighty Dreamcast which I still like very much. However I don't use that nick anymore. My new internet nick is "Wangan"( or Wangan-san, Wangan01, depending on what's availible). Wangan is a part of a highway between Tokyo and Yokohama ( with many street racers on it ) btw, I drove it in real life and I thought that would be an appropriate name for a racing and Japan fan....

I'd have never guessed the Dreamcast part. Only SEGA console I ever owned, but still is one of my favorites also. 👍

You know when you are running out of ideas, when you are digging that deep. :lol: And yeah, a lot of people thought my name came from Audi A6 and BMW M5. M5's one of my favorite cars, so I guess I'm cool with that!

I don't know why Famine chose his name, but when Poverty first joined GTP, I remember thinking that he was Famine goofing off under another username... :lol:

I KNEW IT !!!... I thought by myself, didn't I already tell the story in the past..., and as it seems, I did :D you can really get lost in this huuuge forum, can't you ;).... Please tell me before I become one of those old men who tell the same story over and over again every time you meet them :scared: :lol:
 
Just say it out loud and it sound like I am tedious.
I saw it on a desk about 7 years ago when I was at school and thought it was pretty cool.
The whole thing was IMTDSNINVU but that just doesn't sound as good.

I get questioned about my name everywhere I go. People ask if my parents are illiterate just about everytime for giving me my name with two J's. I like my name and wouldn't change it even if given the opportunity. I catch attention from others just about everytime I endorse a check or give my name at a restaurant.
