I have met alot of nice and fast people online, which i added as a friend. Almost every night, we race together on different tracks with different cars.

This game is so much more fun if you can race with like-minded friends. Also, i went up to C-license :D Finally, the clean driving is paying off haha

Switched to computer on 07/02.

Graphically so much better - not that was to bad on PS4. Also have absolutely all the cars with ultimate addition (I think so) for less then $20. Even with ultimate addition on PS4 from a few months ago was still missing one car pack that could not be purchased.

Also got AC ultimate addition. What a transformation on the computer. A couple of quick notes - adjusting FOV for in car while on track (thats cool). For quick race picking the cars that A.I. can use - nice feature.

Also got AMS2 my early thoughts are that should of waited and got ACC instead. Current car content very lacking but knew that. Track content is decent. Graphically do not believe that it any better then PC2.

For me at the moment PC2 is still the overall best with car content, track content, weather, day/night while still providing good sim feel.
That could change as my sim racing experience progresses in the months to come.

Disappointed that have misplaced my G27 power supply or worse tossed it at some point over the last 3 years.

Computer sim racing worth the switch - you bet it is. Provided you do not want to play GT7 and do not have a need for PS5.

Just had a couple of brilliant Renault Sport only multiclass races with the RS01, Megane Sport & the Clio Cup.

Various tracks, mainly of the smaller English variety.

I took the middle ground in the Megane & set the race length just enough so there was a possibility of lapping the Clio Cup class & getting lapped by the RS01 class

All in all, it was some really fun packed close racing, congested at times when you start lapping/getting lapped by other classes.

Didn't win a single event  but spent various laps just fighting over 1 or 2 positions :)

Yeah it's a shame that the guy in the shop sold you the wrong console. :irked: :mischievous:

Funnily enough I've recently been playing about with the RS 01 and the Megane touring car. Both very different but good to drive. I like the Clio too but that's always on the verge of wanting to face the wrong way.
PlayStation fan (PS1 to PS3) right up to the point where Sony/PD started shutting off servers, forcing me on to the next installment. Grid, GT5 & GT6.

Things change.

Enjoying the Xbox eco system atm starting with the 1X, only paid £350 for it brand new on a deal with a Samsung 4k TV when bought together.

Used the GTA mustang for 1st time in 15 lap racec yesterday. Good experience, car liveries look good, car sounds great. It would be great to have a full 60's/early 70's T/A roster of cars. Even current muscle cars - modern T/A race style cars.

The more I play the better PC2 becomes. Being on the computer now can honestly say that PC2 is great in a lot of ways. Lots of cars, lots of tracks, nice menus (compared to similar sims). A wide array of ways that you personalize races for your own personal enjoyment. Driving views are some of the best in the genre and that is even without any seat adjustments.

Yeah the Trans-Am Mustang is nice, and sounds great. Of course the Camaro is nicer, and sounds better. :P
All of the vintage GT classes are quite fun but unfortunately not terribly well balanced. I suppose GT-D is well enough balanced with only one car(I didn't like it at first but it grew on me after driving it 1,000 miles or so lol). The bulk of GT-A is almost okay -- other than the Jags being miles ahead and the poor Datsuns being left in the dust.

Hey all,

Did a few very quick spot races with the Ford Bronky for the first time every in support of what I am calling Bronco week. That thing is pretty cool.
Was just having some easy fun. On once race hit one of those yellow rectangular track markers and left it in the middle of the track. Next Bronco behind me hit it and front end caused it to do a back flip and flip over. Then another race just wanted to see what my limits are for multi-class racing on a ralley track. Had myself, GT5 car, rally lite car, 2 medium level formula car just for kicks. I think it's great that you can create just about any type of race you want in sand box mode. I know that in general, do not care that much about rally tracks. It would be cool though for like stadium level off road trucks and buggies etc.

With how much i love monza classic with 65.740 miles driven on this track by me so far today i tried it in reversed and it was like rediscovering this track again for the first time  In fact i may just like it more in reverse :D

I wish SMS would give us a reverse option for the old oval track - it was used in the reverse direction to suit American oval race cars which were invited over with their drivers for "The Race of Two Worlds" - an attempt to pit the best of the USA with the best from Europe in 1957 and 1958.

I dont know about you, but just booting up PCars2 is already giving me joy and fun.

The intro video alone is so epic and reminds me of the very first time I boot up the game a couple of months ago, and it just doesn't get tiring.

I just love PCars2 intro video the way I love the intro to GT2 My Favorite Game.

The music of the PCars2 into video is so well suited,it give such a sense of occasion.

I love how mature and serious it is...

I just hope PCars3 will be the same, and not going toward the Forza NFS type of music...

There is still so much life out of PCars2, if they are both different enough, I hope both games can continue to coexist for years to come,.

I haven't scratched the surface of Pacrs2...

This is the point I made somewhere over on the PC3 thread. With it's changes I think they've made PC3 different enough to PC2 to enable them to have their own identity and be playable in their own right*. If they had purely made a direct sequel PC2 would have been left on the shelf unused - a bit like PC1 is now.

*On this generation of console hardware.

I haven't scratched the surface of Pacrs2...
I've been playing it for ages and I still find new combinations of cars, tracks and conditions. With PC3 I'll have another surface to scratch as well. :)

I packed up my bags and moved to Vintage Le man in reverse and boy its so much better imho in reverse. To bad only in practice you can run it in reverse.

Lap Vintage le man in reverse :D

I just love PCars2 intro video the way I love the intro to GT2 My Favorite Game.

The best racing games always have the best intro sequences. GT4's was very cool to. And the first two Colin McRae games. But the menu music for the gran turismo games used to drive me absolutely mental after a few months. PCars2 is much better there.

PC2 on Computer with 65 inch TV is pretty phenomenal even compared to my 55 inch TV.

I think anything bigger then 65 inch might be just two much.

I would recommend that budget priced steering wheel such as my T-150 and a good quality / sized TV would be better for immersion compared to say expensive wheel and 32 inch or smaller tv.

I spend way too much time at the Glen. It is my "home track" in a sense, and I hope to go there some day.

I like the way you think, too much emphasis is put on “better” wheel and FFB as a path tho search for immersion.
Bigger screen and a wheel position close to that screen is a very important step to immersion.
Before adopting VR as my main tool to immerse myself in my racing games, I used to project my game on a wall, with my rig right in front of the wall, every thing was at a 1/1 scale, once pass the SDE, you quickly learn to look trough it, the immersion was amazing.
An other very immersive item not mention enough is the load cell brake pedal.
Lastly but not least, some type of tactile to feel the road vibrations in your seat and rig also hopes pretending to be racing.
All that said a 32 inch placed right behind the wheel base is already doing a good job.

As far as this thread is concerned, this morning I raced 30 laps at Nurburgring in the Cayman GT4 and I had a very good time. Using Christiaan’s Pure FFB files, PCars2 has a lot to offer even if the pseudo, self proclaimed, SIM experts have auto decided it was not worth their precious SIM racing time.

On recommendation, I drove the F355 Challenge car in the Ferrari pack at Imola and it's just a great car to drive. If it slides, it doesn't immediately snap and you can live with it. You can glide the car through the corner and it feels incredible. No other car I've driven feels like that.

Nothing feels odd about it that feels unpredictable. On the Loose default, it was a joy to drive.

Getting a little PC1 action in back on PS4 with just controller.

For just some very quick races etc.

Did not want to spend the time to get laptop and steering wheel set-up just for a few quick races.

Can say with PC1 and controller feels more or less equivalent to GTS from control ability aspect when settings are right.

Been having fun in Practice, Career and Custom Race. After having not played it for the majority of 2020, playing it in the last week, there's so much to this game.

I love private testing because it's so accessible and remember last values. It's so cool, I don't need more. Just car and track and you can have fun for hours :D Today I tried Ford Escort RS1600 racing and it was very good but when fuel went low I was thinking about different tires and tried street. It was completely different and so much fun. I sometimes wonder why I wasted so much time with other racing games :D This one is perfect.

It's funny how some of the best combinations are right in front of you but you never seem to notice it.

Been racing around Bathurst in the Caterham 620R (various time & weather conditions) but oh my that mountain pass is scary sitting low down in a 500kg tin can compared to the big heavy V8 machinery, especially at night or heavy fog & rain :)

Maybe try the Honda 2&4 (if you've got it), I should image that would be a rush. In that you're not even sitting inside the body.

pCARS2 was also low on my playlist for 2020 because of Assetto Corsa and all their mods. Plus I couldn't get to grips with SMS' FFB. Then came Christiaan's Pure FFB. Wow. Now I've been playing pCARS2 and AMS2 (with Karsten Hvidberg's Silver Raw FFB) more than Assetto Corsa. Amazing what the community has been able to do with these 2 games!

Funny thing is you don't even need a wheel for the game. I play it every day and it's so good on a pad. And I don't need to care about sim purists because physics looks great to me. Interesting thing is it's better than AC and ACC on a pad to me. I still don't know why but it feels much better.
