I want to drive the Thrust SST on The Bonneville Salt Flats (The ultimate drag strip).

In reality what I really want is to blow the windows out of my house...

As everyone, as above...

Bathurst
Pikes Peak... (please!)
Isle of Mans... (God have mercy!)

and definitely a few point to point rally stages... maybe even with multiple paths that the game can switch between just to keep you on your toes, and to keep you from memorizing them.

And if no one has mentioned it yet, I want Grindelwald back... or a variation of it... I just love driving through hillside villages. :P

come to think about it, that was a fun track to drive on. every car I drove handled differently on that track, which made it a challenge to drive.

or even Le Mans Prototypes. a great idea.

well I saw it and it I wouldn't say it'll be difficult. after seeing PD work their magic on the street circuits that I thought were impossible, this will be a snap for them.

Okay, I'm cosigning the VIR suggestion(state pride, plus it's fun as all get out to drive), Isle of Man, ALL 'Ring variations, ovals (Indy, Daytona, and Bristol esp.), and all recent F1 & ALMS tracks. ALSO:
the old Spa if not already mentioned would be AWESOME. umm...
Jerez
Either Mugello or Fiorano...or both, but i am not a Ferrari aficionado in the least
Kyalami
Estoril
the joint in Argentina
at least 10 WRC stages
the OLD Le Mans would be interesting...
OLD Monza
Pre 1994 Imola
a San Francisco street race, if that's real life
but all the (we'd like to think of them as) essentials have been stated time and again. PD READ AND TAKE ACTION!!!

Spa and Monza (In it's various incarnations over the years) absolutely have to be included in GT5; they are among the most well known tracks in the world, and it's a shame they were not in GT4.

Other RL tracks I would like to see are Indy, Daytona (both with the road courses), Lime Rock (lots of fond memories of that track from Sports Car GT), and Mosport. I also wouldn't mind seeing some more real street circuts, like Long Beach.

Here's my list of real tracks I'd like to see in GT5.

Norisring, Germany - Great little street circuit that I saw on DTM.
Surfer's Paradise, Australia - Street circuit that I've played on TOCA World Touring Cars.
Paul Ricard, France - Brilliant, fast track with huge back street
Old Hockenheim, Germany - Great track from F1
Monzas old and new, Italy - Great slipstreaming action
Silverstone, Britain - Some British interest needed
Road America, USA - Tough technical course
Indianapolis race tracks - The oval can replace the Motegi oval from GT4 and the F1 track is quite good

Washington D.C.(which by the way in 2002 was where I first saw american le mans series racing live on CBS Sports)
BTW, Is there any racing still going on there?

1) Road Atlanta
2) UPDATED Seattle Circuit
3) Top Gear Test Track

RACECAR
Washington D.C.(which by the way in 2002 was where I first saw american le mans series racing live on CBS Sports)

No, people here complained to much about the noise.

Pikes Peak
Silverstone
Sebring
Spa-Francorchamps
Old Spa-Francorchamps
Pikes Peak
Bathurst
A1-Ring
Daytona Oval Course
Daytona Road Course
Indianapolis Oval Course
Indianapolis Road Course
Talladega Speedway

Woolie Wool
Pikes Peak
Talladega Speedway

Interesting (but cool) that people have mentioned Nascar tracks (most notibly Talladega and the short tracks).

I've lived most of my life in Georgia (where folks are really enthusiastic about Nascar), but I was born and once again live in Massachusetts. Everybody looks down on Nascar here because it's driving in circles for the most part, but it takes a lot to tame the cars (and trucks). If you watch a race, you'll notice just how much trouble the drivers have with their cars (not to mention the sheer number of cars).

Before I go off-topic with the argument in favor of Nascar, let me just say the Indy 500 would be pretty boss for an endurance, no? Seeing as how they have the Nur and LeMans 24 hour races, why not the other great races you hear so much about (Daytona 500, Pikes Peak Hill Climb)? With damage and more cars (I hope), it'd be soooooo cool.

Woolie Wool
Pikes Peak
Silverstone
Sebring
Spa-Francorchamps
Old Spa-Francorchamps

Pikes Peak
Bathurst
A1-Ring
Daytona Oval Course
Daytona Road Course
Indianapolis Oval Course
Indianapolis Road Course
Talladega Speedway

sounds like a great track. what does Knockhill look like?

Well for my 2 cents, for what its worth I would say:

Oulton Park in the UK, ask any 'real' racing driver for their favourite current
tracks and it will be in their list.
The Isle of Man TT road course would put the Nurburgring to shame, but it
would be one hell of programming job to get it into the game (any game)
with a decent amount of realism.

Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Central London (remember they did some sort of F1 show in C. London and clogged up traffic?), Nurburgring again (obviously) but with the entrance side roads, etc.

A little off topic but I would like a drag racing track - where you get two cars that race down a straight 700m road and there is a tunnel ahead where only one car can get through (i.e. either one car gets in or none at all - bit like Bad Cops movie at the end :dunce: ).
