WHICH SINGLE EVENT HAVE YOU FOUND MOST DIFFICULT IN GT6

The Ford GT mission on the ring. Urgh, soooo annoying when the newer GT slows down in front of you then speeds back up. I may have smashed it off the track a few times..

Which single event have you found most difficult in GT6 so far. It could be a race, a seasonal . a licence test, or any of the peripherals such as Goodwood. Which have you had to have most attempts at before succeeding.

My vote goes to Super licence 5, getting the Veyron round Ascari in a set time.
I agree this is beginning to get really annoying missed bronze by .2 of a second and can't seem to make this up and stay on the track and the buggati is awful to drive too heavy for my taste.

Another event that I found particularly trying was the Cone Challenge with the KTM X-Bow on the GT Arena track:yuck:

I found that the X-Bow was hard to smoothly steer between the cones, so I would too often clip one of the cones, or understeer and plow into one of them. DQ! Repeat DQ! Repeat DQ!:banghead:

The Shifter Kart championship. Might be easy for some, but I can't win the race at Willow Springs for the life of me.

I say that ford gt challenge was the hardest in gt6 on nür. I litteraly put every aid on for the first time just to beat it. I felt disgusted after that lol.
I haven't even fully attempted that event yet. I gave it about three tries when I first got my S Class license and I would go flying off the track and get DQ'ed very quickly. I have to go back and do these remaining S Class Mission Races. Ugh...

I can't win any of them I think in all the karting in the game up to finishing the AI I have won none. I tried adjusting TC and fiddling with the gearbox. I can get the kart to take off like a missile then I always get nudged and spun and my kart will not no matter what I do go around bends like the Ai do which ends up with me giving up trying to race the rest and just plodding around the track until I finish last and swearing at it, but at least the race is done and out of the way so I can move on to decent racing not the super mario kart racing someone working late at PD and was drunk decided to put it. And if your reading PD karting is depressingly dull please refrain from letting your latest recruit from the Wreck it Ralph film loose on putting races in the game, Cheers.

The le man and nurburgring a spec races in the seasonal race section. I was struggling with the first one because of my car choice and the second one because of the slow a.i.

None !
If I didn't do it in 2 goes I gave up !
I only race online anyway, so just grind on single player Like The Wind if I need cash.
Don't bother with seasonals at all, don't pay enough for my time !

The Lotus F1 Brands Hatch in the Senna event has to be the most difficult.

I've gotten gold on everything in the game except for that one. It is very doable but it might take a while for me since the last time I tried, I was still a whole two seconds away from gold.

I tried for almost 4 hours and my hands hurt a lot after it. I was 4 seconds away from silver (I only want silver for the Lotus F1 car)

I believe the gold time is what Senna got in real life with the same car on that same track and of course it is definitely hard to beat a legend's time. I believe the silver is the usual PD's gold time and the Bronze is usual PD's silver time. It is also hard for me to get silver in some of the races.

Ok PD a laugh is a laugh lets talk about this Senna challenge.
First race with the go kart tricky no very tricky but I got gold after 4+hours.
Second race Brands Hatch gold time 43.140 ha ha ha ha ha ha ha it is impossible I have been on it for hours now I have every aid turned off to give me more pace and I still only do 43.524 silver I cannot get the car to go faster, I hug the edges of the track like a demon on fire with the gas pedal welded to the floor with every bend a .001 mph faster and the car would slide off It will not go faster and the time cannot be done. In fact I will go on record to say anyone who says they have done it is full of it I wouldn't believe it unless I saw it with my own eyes then I would look for some form of witchcraft going on. I give up on it.
3 rd race try and beat Sennas time again I can't even complete a lap whithin 5 secs of bronze.
Do us simple folk a favour PD stop being so stupid with the grip on cars and stop putting times of the best in the world to beat I am a humble gamer not a race driver.
And one more thing keeping events locked until you have golded the previous race is very very sad just stop locking them I want to play them not spend eternity on one race I can't gold and then having to miss out on the other races becuase I am not Schuey or Senna.
Basically stop being so damn pedantic and let people like me enjoy the game without the monotiny of silly stupid races with stupidly hard times. Try a simple choice at the beginning of the game Easy-Tricky-Hard and Super Hard.
Give normal people a decent play time yeh.
Rant over but someone had to say it.

I spent 3 hours last night on the Senna F1 Brands Hatch event.

I finally gave in, turned on active steering, and got gold immediately. My time was 1:06.8** something.

This is the first time I've used active steering in GT6 and I feel dirty. :indiff:

It is definitely the most difficult event in GT6 by far.

Well done I have tried all sorts and it don't work. I am not prepaired to waste any more of my time on it I have better things to do in my life.

I think 125 Shifter Karts at GT Arena frustrated me the most. Then, a few weeks after I achieved gold, they made it easier.

The Lexus at Nordschleife was killing me until I finally beat it by 7-8 seconds.

The fourth round of GTA (GTR at Spa) was a little frustrating.

The third moon thing was a pain, but when I finally achieved gold, I beat it by 9 seconds.

The last two S licenses were frustrating; the Aventador more so than the Bugatti.

Senna at Brands? That was a challenge but it took only 1/2 hour to beat gold by a second.

Just keep at it, refine your lines, nail the apex and blast out of the turns as early as you can.

EDIT: Actually, the drifting coffee breaks were really killing me! It took a while to learn how to drift. Now I can gold the drifting seasonals after 3-5 passes.

As I said, the gold time is probably set by Senna the legend himself and he is one of the best racers in history. Of course it is almost hard and even impossible for some of us to get to his time :D

I rather have a high standard to look up to than a low standard which can be obtained so easily. I think you should not blame PD for this. Use that time and improve your driving skills more. At the end, you still end up with lot of credit in the game with this event.

PD made the game and it is stupidly hard in some races. I do not want to spend hours and hours fine tuning my skills so I can achieve gold to unlock the next level, I just want to race the track, be first or last I just want to try the next level, some people want super difficult hence my idea to PD of inserting a choice at the beginning of the game of difficulty level choice then everyone is happy.
A beginner level my six year old can do is a good idea as if kids are successful they will play it more as they get older. Gives PD a continued market. I would start on a difficult level and leave the very hard to you lot who wish to spend your life on it getting gold on daft races like the Senna at Brands Hatch the 43.140 gold time one.
So I am not so much blaming PD for making the game stupidly hard I am just suggesting they stop making the game with the thought everyone wants silly hard. And suggesting they make the game appeal to all from the total novice to the seasoned pro. Now I know the game starts easy and gets more difficult as you progress but it is the difficult races I am aiming at when I suggest instead of say a time of 1.21.430 which I could spend hours or days on and not do, then have an easier level with the time 1.22.000.
And on the locked races this I have always disliked in any game reason being I paid for the game I own it and I should be able to play it as I feel fit to, So locked levels is a joke it makes me feel cheated. If I want to go to the final race in the game and play it backwards to the easiest level I should be able to, I should be given the choice of I don't want to race that track in the first race but I like the look of the track in the second race so I will race that one but most the time I can't because it is locked until I do the first race. My game my choice just take the stupid locks off and let me play the way I want to.

Shifter Arena GT
KTM cone challenge
Drifting in Madrid
GTA at Spa
I spent more times repeating those to get gold than any other. But even if I needed less time the winner is Senna at Brands.

You already can do what you want. It's called Arcade Mode. You can choose a car for free and drive any track you'd like. All tracks are unlocked in that regard. Career Mode, on the other hand, does not work that way as you've already described. I don't really have a problem with the way things are setup currently and I don't necessarily agree with your statement:

I don't play other games, but don't most games work in a similar fashion as GT6? Like, in a first person shooter you can't just say, "I want to go to the final scene/battle", can you? I mean, as far back as I can remember playing Super Mario Bros as a kid, if you didn't get past a certain level that was it. You didn't proceed any further in that game.

Perhaps as a compromise, maybe after a certain number of failed attempts they could unlock the next license level? Maybe that would help people who aren't meeting all the qualifications to pass that license test traditionally.

I totally agree with you that giving the difficulty option in the game would be the ideal solution. That would really make everyone happy.

Regarding the difficulty, one does not need to spend hours or days to achieve gold. I'm not saying this particular event since the gold time is from a legend racer which is just too hard to obtain. I'm saying in general for most other events, if the person skill level is already up such as the GT academy finalists, they could obtain the fast time in minutes while some other players with lesser skill may never able to obtain the gold even after days of trying. However, once their skills level are up, they could do it in minutes.

I just started this game few weeks ago. In the very beginning, I can't obtain gold in most of the seasonal events even after hours or days of trying. However, with continuous learning from reading books and help from some fast players on this GTPlanet such as @Lewis_Hamilton_ , @skeagracing , @Lawndart , @Shahar , I can obtain gold in many seasonal events easily within minutes and even with 1st trial.

You know what I had never even give Arcade mode a thought. Thanks for that I have my dream game. I have never played arcade mode but I will now if you can drive what ever where ever.
To be honest after playing this morning and realising I cannot do Senna Challenge or the seasonals or most of the Redbull Challenge and struggled like mad with the S-Class I have come to the end of my ability level so I had an idea I deleted all the game data and started again from scratch and I am enjoying it again.

On being able to skip to any level on a game I know I am the minority but I really do think if you want to you should be able to in level games like Mario no doubt if you started on the last level you wouldn't last long but that's your choice.
Same in shooter games if you want to go to the end scene get on with it, if you have paid for the game you should be able to do want you want in regards to how you want to play not how the game manufactures force you to play.

What I mean in gt6 is when you really are struggling to finish a race in time I should have the option of leaving that race and carrying on to the next race without restriction.

Red Bull Goodwood event. The only event I cannot gold, let alone finish!

If that crazy Redbull is the only race you have not golded on then you are a genius. I found Senna event impossible.
That Redbull car at Goodwood is insane Got silver but gold no not me, I did gold all the other Goodwood events prior to PD having a giggle.
If you do gold that Redbull does the game open up more in the Goodwood events or is that the last race?
