Which tires and HP do you use?

At the end of the day it's all down to personal preference. No point in arguing if CH or CM are better because different people will have different opinions.

2 days ago, i was in Twitcher´s room called "the CM experiment" (or something like that), and then i was with more 5 fellas (all good drifters, except me) in Autumn Ring (not the mini) using Corollas (Levins, Truenos, SS)... trying our luck in massive tandems.

I gotta say that CM works for any car, but its too far away from CH. It was very stressing to take the max speeds and sacrificing the angles to maintain the correct line, witch is the most important when you are blind by the smoke with several cars in front of you, while all u can see is the next car in front of you for few moments.

I tot that CM could brings any benefit for team drifts since they spread less smoke, but didn´t worked... the smoke stills massive. But yeah, it works... sometimes the grip came back in front or rear tires, making me overspin or understers from nothing, but i guess its all about train.

BUT... i keep with CH. Not only because is more democratic (by the number of users, but also letting people who dont know how to work on a standard line, do that), but also because... it is more confortable.

I don't know why people keep saying they have to sacrifice angle, in all of my cars that I've put CM I get same angle & line, but faster.

This makes me think you naturaly use low angles or/and don´t care about standard lines.

For exemple: In Tsukuba, in the grid straight, how many manjis do you do normaly? If you don´t follow the EXIT THE LAST CORNER - AIM THE COCA-COLA AD - OPEN LINE FOR THE FIRST HAIRPIN all in one single manji, youre wrong.

And again, we all was using AE86. So the HP range was around 250hp.

Me & low angles don't mix... here's a video I did on Tsukuba (ignore music quality, will redo soon)

I use comfort hard and racing hard both work for me, oh and racing soft for my dodge viper(tuned for top speed)

Ok so I've read this whole argument on here and in the Team Blackout thread and everything's already been said, and those that know me, know my opinion.

But I just wanted to say something to the guy saying people have been drifting on CH's for 18 months, since gt5 came out and it was "agreed" on GTPlanet...... THIS IS INCORRECT.

I don't know where I got it from, but I've been drifting on CHs in GT since GT3, which unless I'm much younger than I realise, was NOT 18 months ago!

Anyway.... Carry on.

Been using CH since last summer and haven't switched. My buddies got me on them and I found it way easier to follow in. I came from CM, that's the highest I go.

My Z33 puts out a bit over 500hp and runs nice on CH (gt).

I started with comfort softs, but "drifted my way" to comfort hards, front & rear, I once saw a guy who had racing softs in front and comfort hards in the rear, he said " I'll have the best angles with this" and just as he started countersteering, he went off the track due to higher grip of thse tires.

Comfort hards, but when I want SUPER realistic drifting (GT is a simulator, right?), I'll use different tires to match the cars power to weight. That's how its done in real life. I feel in this game the tires are off, and need some more work to match real life.

Comfort Softs on all four corners. I hear Comfort Hards are used in Comps, but I can't control my cars with CHs.

Step your game up son, big boys are using CHs and the children use the rest.

He doesn't have to step his game up. He payed for his own game. He can play it however he wants. 💡

I use Sport Hards on Enzo-level cars and usually CS for C63-level cars.

I find CH tires to be too slow to be fun.
