Me once the servers are back up. I beat Ford's Corvette this afternoon with the Slomaro.

ya i know right? i got 2 infractions this week for slang use....absolutely pathetic -_-. you think they would worry about other things like people argueing but i guess not

Its because when you sign up you agree to not using slang or txt talk. This is why I tell people all the time to watch how they type. This is to save them from getting infractions and or banned. So it may be annoying but I only do it to help you. (You meaning everyone) I got one today to but not for your guys reasons.

i understand the terms and rules but to me i think these "slang notice" reminds me of catholic elementry school...i dont see the point of it. most people that text use that kind of grammer to save time like me im a very ssllloooooooww typer so i do it to take less time. off topic question to you spank what did you get the your infraction from?
 
Quite frankly, if you don't like the simple rules that are mentioned when you first signed up, you could easily avoid them by not clicking the "Agree" button and joining the site. It seems a bit silly to agree to them, only to complain afterwards. This isn't a text conversation between your mates and you on your phones.

We uphold these rules because the site has visitors from every continent (yes, including Antartica). Not everybody calls English their first language; proper grammar and spelling ensures its easier for them to read posts, or to run them through a translator if need be.

Better watch your grammer. You'll get and infractrion cause they bust you quick. For that but take there sweet time and play favorites with other people. Just my opinion or is it?:banghead:

You're right, you didn't. Those dusty keys that say "Shift" on them can be very helpful, and so can basic punctuation.

If you see some sort of AUP violation on the board, use the trusty Report button. Remember that staff actions are not visible to general board members; you don't know what actions may or may not be taken with other members (other than the obvious bans).

Perhaps this being posted in the thread will increase the visibility. The Drifting forums are consistently some of the worst for grammar and punctuation on all of GTPlanet, so if this can help even one member realize this, it improves the board.
 
im not even going to bother to express my opinion to "slipzstream", i dont need to be banned over that -_-
 
To be fair slip is not in the wrong, he's only restating the rules that YOU agreed to, no matter how strict they may seem to you :)

.. and to be honest if you've been using keyboards for more than a few years of your life you should be able to touch type by now, it's not that hard.

It's like watching a handicapped child when I see peoples eyes fixed to their keyboard when they're typing, one letter at a time, not to mention they're only using their index fingers :D

Aww man.. they should give typing lessons in school :nervous:
