Who On GTP would you like to meet?

Well, I'm lame. I searched for my name to see who wanted to meet me. I find it interesting that the same people want to meet eachother. There seem to be small groups. I guess it goes along with who enjoys talking with whom.

Makes sense, but it's still interesting to me.

Liking is mutual, as disliking, very strong correllation. Both for dyads and triads.

Simple social psychology :)

Sweet Jesus, this thread is old.:odd:

Anyhoo, I still want to meet a lot of the people here at GTP, but for some reason I don't ever see it happening. It seems like everyone here is too lazy to make plans about meeting one another.

Hell, I've only been a member at svtperformance for like 2 weeks, and I'm meeting up with someone from there next weekend if the weather is permitting. I'm also going to meet up with a Supraforums member in Mississippi, and some down in Florida soon.

It's weird that I've had beer with Vat_Man, who lives 10,000 miles away, and not with daan, or TurboSmoke who live 40 miles away. Such is life...

That sounds like an interesting story ... care to share more?

It was when the wife and I were in Sydney last year. Quick PM conversation set the whole thing up, and we met at a Harbour-front cafe.

Few beers and a meal, it was a good laugh.

In GTP land, I'd like to interact more with Sage, Vat, Klos, Bengee, Josh and M5.

Although the later is on a road trip so :grumpy:

They? :grumpy:

Well, to be honest, you'd be better served leaving your car at home and hiring a 4x4 here (if you ever came).

Mostly cos it is easier to get diesel in some of the dodgier places (and on some occasions you need to bring along your own in Jerry Cans....Not from the States....From here I mean!) and some of the "roads" are anything but. That is applicable to most places Between the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer (southern hemisphere?).

Yeah. "Them."

You're rather grumpy tonight.

Pfft, my SUV can take it - you people are driving around in 20-year-old Soviet SUVs and you think you're tough. Well you don't know tough!! GIR!!!

Two words: Land Cruiser

:D, I used to have a 1977 FJ40. You could drive through hell and back, before it got stuck.

It's Monday morning, and my banana was all mushy when I opened it :D

Actually we swapped the Soviet SUV's for Indian ones, so at least we have 3 gears now. Seriously though, most 4x4s used for travelling in the rough spots are Toyota Hilux double-cabs or Land Rover Defenders.

A pic of a double-cab is you dunno what I am referring to:

Some of the most noted members of the past that don't come around as much anymore would be BrianP, SmokeAlot, and Bluedawnrider.... (shhhh Matt...;))

I completely forgot about him until now. Haha. ;)

That thing is sexy, minus the stripes which seem to be popular everywhere but North America. I love Defenders, I wish we had five-door models here, but we don't. :grumpy:

Famine, so he can prove that drinking small amounts of school lab acid doesn't hurt you.

And 911_Carrera and sawyer, oh wait, I saw them yesterday.

I would, that's why there is a "many more" at the end of my list, it just keeps going. I just got lazy and didn't feel like going through my ENTIRE list of people that I'd like to meet.
