So, what is your ideal grid? Not the entire grid, but atleast the superstar teams. With what we've got to work with today, heres mine:

MSchumacher-Alonso *Ferrari
Kimi - Berrichello *BMW
Montoya - Villeneuve *Mclaren
RSchumacher - Button *BAR
TRulli - Fisichella *Renault

M Schumacher in a Minardi. Lets see how good he really is. Rossi turned round Yamaha, to show that he is the star, not the bike. With Schumacher, most of his success is down to Ferrari.

Ferrari: M. Schumacher, F. Alonso (but without a certain Mr. Brawn! See how well Ferrari do then! :mischievous: )
Williams: M. Webber, K. Raikonnen (Hmm, perhaps we could slot Brawny in here alongside Sam Michael...)
McLaren: J.P. Montoya, T. Sato
Renault: G. Fisichella, J. Button
BAR: N. Heidfeld, F. Massa
Sauber: R. Shumacher, D. Coulthard

And that's all I really care about. :indiff:

So that if they get the car reliable for Sato it'll be reliable for anyone.

MS retires...

-truili and Rubeuns in red (todt, brawn and the whole team remain the same)
-JPM and Kimi in black/grey (maybe even with BMW power, drop the clunky Mercs)
-sato-san and rossi in toyota
-sauber scores a deal with audi for engines and manufacturer support

I could care less about the rest.

M Schumacher in a Minardi.

He'd finish mid pack at best. MS might be good but he isn't THAT good (no one is) to haul that Minardi anywhere but 10-15. The minardi is too old, too slow and too out dated.

Put MS in the red bull car and see what happens. That is a semi competitive car, should be at least in MS hands.

Ferrari - M.Schumacher/G.Fisichella
Mclaren - Riakkonen/Montoya
Williams - Webber/Heidfeld (ive been saying for months that this is an ideal lineup)
BAR - Button/S.Bourdais
Renault - F.Alonso/V.Liuzzi
Red Bull - D.Couthard/C.Klien
Toyota - T. Sato/J.Trulli
Minardi - Will Power/ Will Davison
Jordan - R.Briscoe/J.Vasser
Sauber - P.Tracy/A.Davidson

I also think it would a great idea for MS to go in another team. Not Minardi of course (we all know that could never happen), but why not win one or two championships for Williams, Maclaren or Renault before retiring ?

He would then truly become formula one's greatest.

With all due respect, i fear you have that back to front, most of Ferrari's success is down to Michael.

He left a consecutive two time WDC winning team at Benetton in '96 and went to Ferrari, which was in a poor state of affairs at best and completely turned them around, he had offers to go to McLaren, due to his Mercedes links from sportscars, but turned them all down to drive for the scuderia, now he's reaping the rewards of many years of hard work and building a world beating team.
