Did one of you, maybe at gamescom (I still hate myself for not going there when I got the offer from my employer >_>), notice if the new engineer is telling you more about gaps between the cars? It's a bit..well..seldom in F1 2010, imho.

It doesn't really have the same appeal as James Allen randomly screaming "ITS SCHUMACHER!!!" or Murray Walker's "That was a mega, mega, mega move by <driver>".
While having a race engineer is more realistic, I much prefer the atmosphere of proper commentators commentating on your race and enthusiastically exclaiming. Even if I do dislike James Allen, it was at least quite amusing (although sometimes irritating) to have him randomly scream half way through a lap about one of the AI crashing.

"It looks like <Driver> was involved in that as well. Unlucky!"

They really need to bring them back for this one. I know it wont happen, but that was great. But, I did like the Engineer from F1:CE and my favorite of his quotes (Drop 3 places OR spin and loose even more) "Dont worry, its not the end of the world... Yet!"

PS: I actually think that overall the F1CE Engineer was much more helpful.

I wish F1 2010 had captions available because I can't understand what he is saying 90% of the time. Hard to hear him over the engine noise but that could be just me.

It would be nice if F1 2011 had different options for your race engineer. DIRT 3 did it with the co-driver; you could have a male or female co-driver (personally, I choose female because I pay more attention) and either simple or complex pace notes. I'd like it if Codemasters put a different race engineer into each team, and that engineer could move with you if you wanted them to when it came time to change teams.

I'll always remember how excited he got when I won every single race in a season. Jesus, it was like standing next to a megaphone.
