Why are people starting to hate GT5?

Seems like now a days every post or comment is from restless fans on either b-spec seasonals (which I could live without also) or no DLCs or even the game having no purpose or fun to it any more. Don't get me wrong I have complained too but this is to much. I play GT5 everyday all I do is test cars (and I have maybe 10 tuned cars and there RM) I leave all stock, just to test and compare cars. I get by fine with what GT has for content. However I do wish they would improve the matching of cars in arcade mode races. rally cars racing Re Anemiya rx 7 AN ART M corvettes. Stupid matching. But what im saying is, has Gran Turismo 5 really have gotten that bad. I don think so. Online is no fun cause no one is serious and sometimes its no challenge and when I find one I FR them. Is GT5 getting that bad? and yes I rambled on sorry. I would love some DLC cars though like the new 2012 Lotus Exige S maybe. Not a E46 M3< waste of time. Just give PD some respect they deserve it and Happy Motoring everyone.

It's not bad, it's just like every other game, people just get tired of the same stuff everyday, that's why a large selection of games is best. I use GT5, BF3, FSX, MS Flight, and iRacing.com, so i can't really be bored. Also a year or 2 in people probably are extremely close to having every car

GT5 is the only game I play. Well I pay Shift 2 once and a while
 
If you really like sims, try iracing, but it costs a pretty big fee compared to GT5 but worth it, and it just may take you from your PS3 altogether, (the only 2 downsides)

Nope GT for life. I have forza 4 but got to save for CSR Elite and I hope it improves driving physics like my Thrustmaster GT $600 did for GT5

I am just like you. I spend my time testing cars and that keeps me pretty happy. When I want to(or need to for a wedge of cash) I will do some races, but this is only so I can afford to keep testing things. There are always people who will moan as they have gotten used to getting what they want in life by moaning so think it will help here. No matter how many DLC cars are made available there will still be moaners. It would be great to have some little track friendly cars like the Exige, X-bow and Atom but that would just lead to a group of moaners who are unhappy because they can't be given 1000bhp to drag with. A game like GT5 can be whatever you make of it. There is the scope there to keep playing it for years for some people, but for others they will enjoy it for a month and then never play it again.
Personally I am satisfied and have definitely had my money's worth. I am a massive F1 fan and I bought F1 2011 but after the first season I stopped and haven't had the urge to play it again. I paid the same for F1 2011 as I did for GT5.
 
I think I have seen thread like this earlyer...
But this game is over year old and Im happy every update what PD makes 👍
I cant unterstand these complaining threads, just get over it.
Change game and start wait GT6.
I hope Mods lock this soon 👍

Im not complaining buddy, and I see no reason to lock this thread. I just asked why are people starting to hate GT5 thats it. Oh and I bet you have had your fair share of same thread posts and locks.

I gatta say that I'm getting a little bored with GT5. I completely agree with the OP about AI selection in arcade mode. I don't race online and rely on offline content. GT5 would really benefit from grouping cars in proper classes (along with the PP system).

I do however play a lot of racing games, and have a good list of console titles on both the PS3 and Xbox 360, and the group keeps me happy. I even have some titles on both consoles.

Maybe the limited ingame A-spec and B-spec modes, with the unimaginative seasonal events we are getting have took this 18 month old game as far as it can.
 
To the OP, this has been going on since Prologue, and likely before that. Give it a few months and it'll die down.
 
Yea man, every single game gets critisized for the smallest things. I used to not like how people would always point out the bad stuff and the very minor details that annoy people. But the fact is you can't get rid of people like that so I just learned to live with them

PD have only improved the driving experience, but NOT the game... 👎
 
I recently bought a DFGT and build myself a playseat.

Buy a random UCD car and take it for a Nordschleife spin. Great entertainment if you like a real driving simulator.

Of course there is a lot to complain about, the start wasn't exactly beautyfull. But everything is working out in the end, not?

At least for me, no hate here 👍

Why is online a disgrace? I have everything done but the endurance races & I don't plan on those. I have every car I want...but it's the online racing with group of friends that keeps me playing as frequently as I do.
 
No matter how much extra content they add packed with additional tracks and cars, I don't think PD can fully make players contented with what is served as the content periodically made available, they only play a minor role in drawing players attention temporarily, which means over time they start to lose interests in the game after getting used to current stuff. Also the contents themselves don't necessarily function as attracting players, especially if they don't have much interests in actual cars, or are resolved not to play the game again.

I think they always must adopt something different to continue holding back players as long as they aim to, the quality of the game doesn't really matter just in enchanting players for a temporarily period, but to keep doing it longer needs painful attempts of putting incenting things into relief.

Even more happy to bend over to pay for the other half in DLC 15 days after the launch date.
Theres so many example of this racquet but its our fault.

PD, EA, Ubi and the like are well aware of this.
Theres absolutely no profit for them into doing long lasting great games.

Agree with TokoTurismo. I do feel the eighth iteration of 400, 500 and 650pp races in A and B spec shows some laziness on PD's part. I'm loving the latest 650pp A spec at the Nordscheife circuit, so it's not all bad.

How about a 323pp, 545pp and 701pp Challenge next? Why those numbers, no reason, but anything but 400, 500 650!

same here. I now mostly play it to get all the Power/Weight ratio of the cars. I'm kind of nerdy like that. I did it with GT4 and it took me about 4 months to get every car I was interested in.
 
I have to say! those who are crybabies and complaining, 90% are kids/children, so don't give it any serious attention! Mature people dont use internet so much as kids, and mature people dont have time for stupid comments like "I want this, I want that", or 'this is stupid and that is stupid", "PD sucks", "GT5 is crap" and so on.. don't give it any attention!

I like the damn game, I have G27 and enjoy every minute of it.. I do understand that its far to be perfect and I try to improve or understand it here in GTP. I try to use GTP Feedback etc.

I dont like many games...

I do hate (maybe not hate but dont like them very much) games like World of Warcraft, HALO, Devil May Cry or any other game which is 100% or 10% fake (I mean like with Harry Porter :) ) style of story... but what I meant is .. I dont go to Halo forums and say how much I dont like it, that is just stupid, and I dont have time for it.. but who have so much time.. god damn kids!

don't give it any attention!
