I quit playing GT5 cause I waited 6 years for 200 cars and maybe 8 hrs of racing in GT life and online now is just plain boaring with all drags, show and trades. No serious races. WASTE OF TIME. Its not GT5 its prolouge all over again. Theres nothing left for me in GT5 until PD makes more cars tracks or racing events and Im not talking about seasonal events. Oh yeah I HATED the idea of Shift 2 cause I was such a GT fan. Now I bought Shift 2 and as of now its ages ahead of GT5 right now. Im sorry but it keeps me coming back. They have real Motorsport cars and racers, tuning is awsome, AMAZING CIRCUITS. You have to know how to tune a car in order to get a car to feel very simish. But if your not like me you can get tunes off the forums. So PD GET TO WORK.

Have to agree with you, Shift2 is way ahead in everything except driving and tuning. (Don't know if they have already patched the implemented lag for steering, if yes then driving is comparable to GT5)

But I'm still playing GT5 because there is just no game out there at the moment which would drag my attention away from GT5.

Because Shift 2 isn't as good as GT5? Isn't this like the 20th thread you've created criticizing GT5? Just go play Shift 2 if you don't like GT5.

We all understand your frustration. But we're all also GT enthusiasts, and have gone over many of the issues you state ad nauseum. I feel that you can make a lot of aspec races challenging simply by (like real racing) driving a car of similar specs instead of outclassing everyone by a million hp. One-make races where everything is stock can be quite a challenge, if you race clean.

And if you're sick of online rooms with silly little children in them, as many of us are, join a racing group. Race with friends in your lounge.

We aren't here to change your mind but you aren't going to change mine. I've preferred GT since the first on PS1 and aside from PC racing I'm not super interested in anything else out right now.

I respect your opinion but I still think Gt5 is great because I am trying to collect all the cars and the seasonals keep bringing me back all the time and you could also probably complete Shift in the same amount of time as you did with GT5.

You do know there is a online racing section for GT5 on GTP yes?

Pretty sure there not drag racing or trading cars in there :dunce:

This 👍👍

I've never raced in public rooms and I never plan to. I race online with friends in my lounge only.

Why do people come on here and complain, thread after thread. it's pitiful sorry.

Cause they're bored. I mean think about it. If Shift 2 is SO much greater than GT5 then why would they waste their time posting about a game that they don't like. I have two theories.

1. They really hate Shift compared to GT5 but they want to go against the grain and possibly be looking to get banned for something stupid.

2. They hate that everyone else doesn't feel the same way they do.

This would be better suited to the EMO thread, but still, there are many visible flaws that can be pointed in a heartbeat.

As for me, I love lapping the Nurb in sportscars so the game pretty much adresses all my needs.

Why do you waste your time posting and thinking people actually care..

Why do I still play it...

-I'm a GT person. Barely play anything else except for some NFS: ProStreet.

-I do comparisons and reviews, and that's fun knowing people think it's interesting.

-Driving the Nurburgring in a VW Karmann is a good way to blow off 11 minutes.

-Because it's one of the few games with sweet, lyrical jazz sounds, a game designed to lower your blood pressure and calm you. I never feel amped up when playing GT5 (only online), but it's a nice feeling instead of playing on edge, where you make the most mistakes.

Shift 2 is definitely not a sim. The physics are pretty rubbish, you can't feel the car at all.

I threw an Aston Martin into a corner at very high speed and used full throttle on the exit. The car just drifted round the corner without going off or spinning out, very unrealistic. All aids were turned off also.

In any other racing the sim, the car would've gone off the track and spun out. Also, the graphics aren't great either. The only good thing about Shift is that it has more content in terms of car customisation.

But anyway, Shift 2 is definitely not in the same class as GT5.
I was disappointed with Shift 2, it's the same old crap as Shift 1.

I still play it because it's epic enough. The driving physics and detailed car modelling are enough to keep me playing.

It helps me appreciate different cars for what they are.

Good point. I have a similar experience. Driving in traffic= :ill:

Driving in GT5= 👍

Don't know why, it just relaxes me, even when I'm losing.

So you quit playing, yet still feel the need to come in here and whine like a baby? You don't like GT5? That's your right of course but go moan somewhere else, really....

Imagine a whole day, like a 24 hour one, where some one who is so pathetically bored with their life doesn't come to the internet to complain about something. Let alone something that really has no impact in one's life whatsoever, say something, like a video game.
That's a world I want to live in.

Who took down the "Do Not Feed" signs?

Constructive discussion threads are one thing. Intentionally baiting people (like this thread's title) is another. It's been done, countless times already. Closed.
