Why Is The Release Of New Features Taking Precedence Over Fixing Problems & Bugs?

Mr Yamauchi,

I've been a big fan since the beginning, & one of my biggest concerns for the franchise is that since the game went online (gt5 onwards) it has been released with a great many flaws and bugs that are not given enough attention, whilst new content continues to be released.

Prior to GT5 the titles in this series would be released in a finished form free of problems and bugs, no doubt largely due to there not being opportunity for patches and updates to come through online and fix problems. It is concern enough that the game is no longer released free of flaws and problems that should be eliminated prior to release through testing, but why when these problems are identified by the community are they not fixed? We instead get new content whilst problems are not taken care of in prompt fashion so that we can not simply enjoy the content we already have, bug-free.

To cite specific problems still not taken care of in GT6, we have incredibly high top speeds for road cars that are not realistic due to drag/aero not being correct, a number of cars that still have flaws in the little details (the '13 GT500 speedo still thinks it's reading in km/h not mph as it should), unusual game freezes, sound dropping in and out, AI running into pitwalls and doing other strange things, framerate problems (especially online), even the engine sounds of cars like the Z4 GT3 and Sauber C9 are so far from realistic they could be considered a bug that needs fixing.

Is PD more focused on getting new content out, perhaps to boost sales, then they are with fixing problems that existing users are becoming increasingly frustrated with?
