Why there are people who scorn the custom tracks?

Add me and grab it, eddyac. It wont stay there forever, specialy after i start a thread for custom tracks.

Besides, how the heck i dont have you in my friendlist already?!

What's your PSN?
Yea I don't know either

In my opinion, custom tracks offer a wide variety of challenging turns and obstacles that can greatly increase your drifting skill. In addition to this, custom tracks are very fun, and are a nice challenge for drifters of all skill levels. I think the biggest problem that people have with custom tracks is that they don't want to leave their comfort zones, and do not want to try tracks that they are unfamiliar with, which is why we find half of GT5's community stuck on Tsukuba lol.

So true . Custom tracks rule

Also a very fun thing to do: set up a drift lobby, wait 'til like 8 people join, and tell everyone to hit "random" during a track vote. We were definitely looking for a track for a drift competition, BUT, Spa-Francorchamps appeared. Before we had time to consider it, (there'd be a great section near Les Combes) the host re-opened voting, and we went to Clubman Stage Route 5. :( Oh well, I still think that there are hundreds of gems to be found, still.

I don't doubt that. In the grip racing section of the forums (for racing in the Rolex series, and my own International Touring Car Championship) we run ALL of the tracks, it seems, really. We don't dislike any tracks, except for the ovals. (Yes, there's even a rally series.)

It's weird that the drifting community doesn't try harder to run different tracks. I seriously LOVE the Porsche Curves for drifting. They flow so well, and that non-transition straight (it's straight for like 40 feet, and there's no room to transition) is CHALLENGING. It is a whole new type of drifting.

I know that some people can make great tracks with the course maker thing. I'm just saying that you (the community) should try all of the tracks.

Personally, I love the custom tracks. I spend more time driving user-created tracks than the original ones. It's like having unlimited DLC!! Especially for Touge.

I can attest to that. This guy's ALWAYS running touge. Also, sorry about not joining today. Was in a league race at High Speed Ring, from which I spun and crashed, and later resigned... ish...

Sorry for the Double Quote, but it really really works. I did logged into the GT5 website and i really could see my "Mt. Aso TG 5 25".

Check it out:

Now i have enough to start a compilation thread. Also ill try to record (even raw from my cellphone) a single lap video, so people will be able to feel the tracks better. I just don´t know where exactly should i create this thread: In the general drift forum or the drift video´s forum, since probably there will be videos on it?

If this is going to become a massive resource of the drift community's custom tracks (or if you're going to create a fresh one for that), I'd say leave it in this general section 👍. It's meant as a reference thread, I imagine, so while there will be videos, the primary goal is to inform people of the details of the tracks themselves.

Good luck!
