Not in the U.S. they would not have, homosexuality was illegal up until very recently and I'm not sure some states still don't have sodomy laws on the books. The military would definitely not have provided that service and still will not to this day. Why did he join the service exactly? Or why did the service accept him if he was mentally ill?

Wikipedia actually has a decent outline of her early life and how she ended up being in the military. Also, some stuff about how she actually stayed in the military and got into the position that she was in.

It's worthwhile background reading before getting in too deep, because there certainly are institutional reasons why she was placed in a position that she pretty clearly was unsuited for (at least from the military's perspective).

Who said that they feel suicidal? There may be some people who feel suicidal if they have trouble dealing with the trauma, but suicidal thoughts are not exclusively associated with being transgender.

No, I don't think that people who have little to no understanding of the subject should be the ones making the decisions. That you keep characterising being transgender as a mental illness demonstrates that you don't know what you're talking about.
No one said it was exclusive, but if by "some" you mean, 4 in 10 will attempt it, you'd be right.

Of course I think it's a mental illness.

Have you actually listened to the words? "I was born in the wrong body"

How did that ever become "not crazy"?
It's downright ludacris.

I don't think it is necessarily crazy but to blame going crazy because of it is not realistic either. In this particular case I think the kid found himself in a place where he could not get the help or support he needed so...

He lashed out, went to jail, turned into a woman, and all is well that ends well.

BTW I've seen this way back when and again since but for what they are worth as media frontline isn't bad. OH, I forgot! very graphic scene that we all know about is shown at first, after that it is pg.

So that happened. Details include turning your smart TV (while in standby mode) into a listening device. Wikileaks has the source code? So if they get hacked, any other country has the source code. I would imagine it's not a stretch to assume they could turn your smartphone (ok google) into a listening device. And our president carries his samsung (that's the brand of TV that was named) smartphone around in the whitehouse....

Apparently the CIA has lost control of its entire hacking arsenal. And this is only from part 1 of Vault 7. What's next? The CIA gets cut off at the knees? JFK considered disbanding the CIA. But he got his head blown off first.

Easily. An alternate story began with anecdotal evidence (which was then followed up with research) that showed advertising correlated with 'overheard" conversations. Not much of an extrapolation to think that governments were interested in it too.

Interesting that Obama used a mobile on some TV programme (Christian Walks With Super-Irritating Bear Grylls?) and mentioned that he "wasn't allowed to have one". He had a phone that would make and take calls but everything else was cut out.

Surely Trump's "Hey buddy **** you" attitude doesn't extend to advice on matters of National Security?

The latest on this is that now they're talking about the CIA being able to hack into automatic driving controls in cars to enable them to perform "nearly untraceable" assassinations.

At a minimum, some phones, TVs, computers, cars and other devices with encryption can be hacked and a trail left to indicate the hacking came from other agencies. Seemingly this was used against the US congress, opposition political campaigns and US citizens as well as foreign governments and individuals. This is against the CIA charter, the law and the constitution. There is no attempt at denial by the CIA, so its all true, as are all previous wikileaks revelations. This is confirmed by previous leaks from Snowden, Binney and others. Yet this is only part 1 (of 20?) of the release of Vault 7. Where this all goes is a guess. Michael Hayden, ex NSA and CIA boss, says millennials are the problem.

The implications from this dump are simply insane. It's a sign of how divided our country is. When Lois Lerner and the IRS are used as weapons/tools against political action committees that oppose the views of the last administration in office, it's a bad sign of things to come. When the CIA treats sitting US senators as damn near enemies of state then Houston we have a problem. Anyone still want to bet against Trump being wiretapped? I bet the CIA and the NSA were spying on him too, wouldn't surprise me one bit at this point. The driverless car thing is scary, I will never own one anyway because I enjoy cars and driving too much, but the death by car thing courtesy of the CIA is a scary thought, as if they don't have enough ways to kill you already....

Wow are you serious, the entire nations intelligence and law agencies are in this much turmoil...
It hit Britain, Spain, Portugal and Russia pretty hard, and it has been confirmed to have hit nearly a hundred countries. The attack was thwarted when a computer engineer found a web address embedded in the malware code; when he registered the site, it triggered a kill switch, but it is believed that another version - one without the kill switch - is already out there. Edward Snowden took to Twitter to speculate that the CIA and NSA knew about the vulnerability months ago, but didn't alert Microsoft or the likes of Google's Project Zero because they wanted to continue using the exploit.

Thanks for the info. I'm not all that surprised. Also I say turmoil because of this with the NSA and CIA and what the FBI is going through. All that's left is to create problems for ATF and DEA and you got a complete mess.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...contact-with-wikileaks-investigator-says.html
The Democratic National Committee staffer who was gunned down on July 10 on a Washington, D.C., street just steps from his home had leaked thousands of internal emails to WikiLeaks, law enforcement sources told Fox News.

A federal investigator who reviewed an FBI forensic report detailing the contents of DNC staffer Seth Rich’s computer generated within 96 hours after his murder, said Rich made contact with WikiLeaks through Gavin MacFadyen, a now-deceased American investigative reporter, documentary filmmaker, and director of WikiLeaks who was living in London at the time.

There's a problem with jumping bail in the U.K. but I'm confident that'll be negotiated in his favour pretty quickly.
The rape case isn't closed. Prosecutors are simply choosing not to actively investigate it for now. The statute of limitations expires in 2020, so they could resume the investigation if new evidence comes to light.

It is reported that Assange has been granted an Ecuadoran passport. Perhaps he will now be moving on to Switzerland?
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...-dons-ecuador-jersey-amid-reports-of-passport
From what I know he was granted Citizenship, not a passport. And ultimately, I dont think it really changes a thing. He is still holed up in the embassy, he is still wanted by the Swedes, and he will still get picked up if he sets foot out of said embassy. What is interesting is that acording to infowars (I know, I know,) Trump is set to pardon him. That, if anything, will likely have a bigger effect on Assange's legal issues than Ecuador granting his citizenship.

Swedes Withdrawed, right now his biggest problem is the british.

Sad (a matter of perspective), news to report. As I posted on the last post in this thread, Julian Assange did indeed get the boot from the embassy that was sheltering him for the last 7 years and was promptly arrested by UK authorities on a US extradition request this morning. It seems that justice in the UK moved very quickly as he was found guilty in the UK for jumping bail today, not even 24 hours after his arrest.

It should go without question that Assange will fight extradition to the US.

He would be fighting computer fraud and conspiracy to hack a government computer charges should he be extradited to the US.

In related news, it seems that YouTube is axing ALL videos that are covering the Assange story. YouTubers such as Mister Metokur and Timcast have complained to YouTube about blocking their videos of the Assange story, but when I took a glance over at YouTube YouTube Assange.png

It appears that YouTube is actively blocking any third-party news videos about Assange.

Not surprised, birds of a feather flock together, they all share the same bed. They won't kill the truth though, no matter how much they try.
