VGT was probably also an exploration project, but why expand so much on GT4 using the PS3 processor and then call it "Vision Gran Turismo?" Doing this would set the bar for GT5 really, really high. I came to a logical conclusion that the game, "Vision GRAN TURISMO" would most likely feature just GT (and I guess Rally) cars. I've yet seen a road car of any sort, so why assume there will be any yet? And if they're going to add road cars, than why not just go for the long shot and produce GT5 instead of this VGT? It wouldn't make sense not to. Thats my reasoning. If it seems ridiculous, than I would love to hear your reasoning.
And GT3 was just as much of an exploration project than GT1. They were both released on new gaming consoles, both of which are completely different from each other. Why wasn't GT3 more convenient than GT2 (in convenient I'm talking about car selections, track selections, and options)? Reason why is because GT3 was just something to get them prepared for the real project, GT4, and it was built to keep them in the race while they pursued GT4. If anything, GT3 is one of the most questionable products PD has made, but I can understand why it is the way it is, and why its not what GT4 is, and why GT4 isn't what GT5 will be. (lol Did you get that?) It was an exploration project to test the waters.
