Gamepad or wheel?

A very important point. Def one to consider for anyone considering a wheel purchase: Seriously think about how it'll work space-wise/ergonomically. Mounting pedals and the wheel base alone was a constant frustration...for example, I found a way to mount my pedals but the seating position was all screwed up as a result. , eventually I just decided to get a rig. I'm glad, but christ above when it's all said and done it costs a pretty penny.
I have that foldable Playseat Challenge and even that gets annoying to reposition (due to the heavy pedals and slightly flimsy pedal mounting system) because I frequently use my TV for other stuff than playing racing games. Maybe I'm just getting old though.

Excited for how PD implemented the Dual Sense feature in the game, from braking to accelerating, so gamepad it is. Always have been using pad for previous GT games also.

Will my ancient Driving Force Pro work with GT7 on PS5?
I think so, but only if you buy a DriveHub box and plug a certain PS5 mini controller into the hub to prevent the PS5 from disconnecting every 10 minutes when it thinks it's not-compatible, which it isn't, but the DH and "dongle" (mini controller) fool it.

Fanatec Clubsport V2.5 /Mclaren GT3 Wheel with Drivehub, hope no suprises with GT7, GT Sport works fine on the PS5

I'll use both. I have a T300 with a CPX Adapter to connect my Fanatec CSL Elite pedals to it and a GTOmega wheelstand. I have whats called sliders that I replace the wheels on my computer chair when I use the wheelstand to stop the seat moving.

Since I have my GT DD Pro, I will refuse to use the dualsense for anything other than designing liveries and writing messages in lobbies.

I'll be running it on my DS4. With my PS4 pro still running really well I have no reason to spend the extra money and hours of time hunting a PS5 drop. I also don't have the storage space to adequately justify trying to get a wheel setup and forcing the rest of my family to work around it.

A curious question though, does racing controller/pad users really annoy some people that much? I figured as long as everyone raved clean and we got good full grids it didn't matter. I'll be out there anyway.

T150 pro wheel user here but will more than likely do the license tests with the controller.

Partly due to nostalgia as always done the previous licenses on a pad and also want to see how the adaptive triggers are like on PS5.

I just got a wheel setup about a month ago. I've been playing GT since the original came out. I'll really age myself here and say that I first rented the game in 1998 and never took it back - seriously hooked ever since. At the time, the best racing game I'd ever played was Need for Speed on Sega. Fast forward 24 years, I figured it was high time I got a wheel and pedals. So I found a brand new T300RS on the cheap and mated it to an GT Omega wheel stand.

Yes, I had to ask the wife for permission to put it in the tv room, but she's the best and just shook her head wondering if I'd ever really grow up. Well it's taken some time, but I'm starting to finally feel proficient with it. Getting the traction control settings back down to 1 on all but the fastest cars was the hardest part. To anybody thinking about it, give it a couple of weeks of regular driving, there is definitely a learning curve. I'm still not as quick as with a controller, but i'm within a second or so on most tracks.

Will be running a T300 Thrustmaster wheel in a playseat. I have a full setup for my xbox and just bought the T300 servo to rock some GT. Haven't really played GT much at all, but looking for some other mature racers to run with online. Feel free to hmu on PSN

Dualsense Gyroscope is, in my opinion, the best way to play Gran Turismo if you don't own any wheel.
I spent 200+ hours on GtSport 'daliy races' using gyroscope instead of analogs; it's much more immersive and you can feel better car weight transfer. You can also countersteer. It is very precise (it is not a Mario Kart experience...). I used to be Driver Rank B Sportmanship 'A' on GtSport using gyroscope (for my limit, not controls, you can reach A+ rank using gyroscope as well as analogs), using only abs and traction level 1 on Gr.3. Level 0 on Gr.4.
Try it and trust me, you'll never come to analogs.

T150 user here too. Any luck getting it working? Mine works fine for GTS but not GT7 on PS5?!

Have only played with the pad so far so cant comment on the wheel, pretty sure I saw a YouTube of a T150 user playing GT7 though and its on the settings menu as a compatible wheel so I don't see why it wouldn't work
