Oh no.

We have heard trump say "Fake News" before.

Now it is "Fake Tweets" and trump loves to tweet, poor trump, he is supporting the "Fake Tweet" platform.

Who gives an ass about Paint? The only 2 things it's good for is saving screenshots and this;

I use MS paint for quick edits
Normally to add boxes around objects when I make my how to guides(gimp does not have this quick function, or resizing.

Don't know what possessed Microsoft to clad the new Surface Laptop range keyboard area in Alcantara. The area which is going to get dirtiest is also the area which is now hardest to clean! Lots of new users are having problems keeping it clean, MS says it needs to be cared for like 'a luxury handbag'. Are you serious!? They created a problem that didn't exist!

Also recently Consumer Reports dropped the entire Surface range from their recommended list because of higher than average unreliability rates. I own a Surface Pro 1 and whilst it's been a good well designed device when working it is quite unreliable and buggy. I see nothing has changed years on!

Windows will one day not be good enough for gamers and we will need something new.

It'll be a very hard cycle to break, though. Developers develop for Windows because that's what their customers have and gamers use Windows because all the games are for Windows.

Read about the Fall Creators Update which is dropping over the next few days,

They keep filling the OS with more and more bloat as though any idea they come up with they dump it in, plus it's still all decidedly beta looking with only half of the new fluent design language featuring. Also more and more peddling of freemium and paid services within the OS. As for start bar contact messaging, get real MS, no one uses Skype for social media!

I downloaded this Windows 10 Fall Creators Update Bloatware Free Edition ISO, and I will be doing a fresh install with it very soon. 👍

Even games are going on the OS

The missus' laptop for school, which I bought with Windows 10 pre-installed, got stuck on the update to update itself to Windows 10....

It tried a couple of times to install and then failed, reverting all changes made. And then starts all over again. Very handy when you need it to work on.

I usually download latest Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft website, need to use user agent like an Android mobile or Linux to get option to download directly. Then use Rufus to create a bootable GPT USB from ISO so can use to clean install latest Windows or update by clicking on setup.exe on drive and then it usually updates fine and quicker than using Windows update.

I did that with Lubuntu.

On computers that come with a lot of crapware installed, I also usually delete such software and also update to latest firmware and drivers before updating OS. This usually helps, Windows 10 is quite a good OS.

My experience so far with Windows 10 has been terrible. That laptop was the last piece of Microsoft tech in the house because we weren't sure if she would need a Windows machine, and since that is not the case, bye bye Windows.

For me, it's my best experience yet with Windows. Only Chromebook my sister uses runs a Linux distro (GalliumOS). Every other computer is running Windows 10.

I personally like the Apps store, good to have apps like Shazam and BT Sport available on laptop instead of only on mobile device. Quite handy. Also easy to update to latest build compared to older Windows, it's like getting Service Packs all the time and also much faster boot up compared to 7 and compared to 8, no need to download a classic start menu app.

The default apps for pictures, music, videos and web browsing are much better too. I like the different background images on login screen and finally it's free for a lot of Windows devices to update to. They could have easily charged for it and also probably charged again with a new Windows release but so far they have given it away largely for free and supported it well so kudos to them for that.

Apparently Microsoft is already ditching Windows 10 S only months after launching it.

Who would have thought an operating system that will ONLY run apps from the laughable Windows Store wouldn't take off! Did they not learn with Windows 8 RT?
