Windshield wipers and bad weather.

I can see it in GT5 now: as the rain begins to fall whilst the top is down, you pull over to the side of the track, jump out and frantically try to put the top up, while the driver cusses in his helmet about the interior getting ruined by the rain... Now that would be funny...

Oh, and the ability to turn a car's headlights on/off and switch between hi/lo beams has been in many games... Actually, this feature is even in GTA IV... I don't see why this wouldn't be in GT5

Having been in a open top car that went about 150 km/h rain was no problem. Most of the rain just went over because of the airflow over the windshield.

Rain = yes!!
wipers=if they look and function good!!!!

But what about puddles on the track and the thought of aquaplaning....???? has this been covered yet?!?!?!? Uh-oh!!:scared::scared:

We'll have to wait and see but I would like to see standing water affecting the car as it goes through it, drag or aquaplaning, with spashes as well as spray from wet surface, drying lines, reflections, raindrops hitting puddles.It just depends on what they can squeeze out of the PS3.

I cannot wait to see what the snowy levels will offer this time around. In GT4, it was pretty bland. Oh look, there's snow on the course. But now the snow should be falling and drifting in the wind. Two different scenarios. Totally different.

GT5 is going to be incredible. If not, then GT6. I'm just thankful that PD actually cares about detail.

I cannot think of one other game which cares about detail except MGS4 (KONAMI JAPAN).

Nürburgring without the bad weather wouldn't be realistic at all (trust me i know, I'm only like 90 minutes away from the Ring)so they'll just have to implement rain and fog (in various degrees)

It would be really awesome to experience the notorious "Eifelwetter" during the 24h Race

I hope fog makes its way into GT5. I know I've said many times in this thread, but it is a type of condition that is so debilitating. And in HD, it could look so ****ing beautiful. Yea. that's right....****ing beautiful!

I don't think fog would make it in. It's probably the most difficult weather aspect to simulate, as it is made up of literally millions of particles, and if there were headlights shining into the fog, it would make it even harder to calculate.

This is very old build, but everything is IN GAME engine, nothing pre rendered there. No wonder GT5 gets delay, because RAIN and SNOW ill make it, maybe not very snowy, but very light snow with wet ground will be good enough for most tracks.

Oooooh, look - GT5p featuring pretty, fairy light P3nT4gR4ms :D
