I don't consider this conversation all that meaningful in my life, I'll forget about it a couple days from now and move on. The only reason I keep replying is because as I've stated already in this thread is that my job is easy and boring at the same time. In order to keep myself occupied for 8 hours I post on GTP, seems like something to do to pass the time.

How am I being hypocritical though? If I don't consider this a meaningful conversation then it's not going against my principals. And while I said I don't really care for using other modes of communication it's pretty much apart of the age we live it so I just do it. It's like, I don't enjoy having to drive everywhere I go, but I accept we live in a car based society and therefore just do it.

And how did I contradict myself? I thought this whole thing was over meaningful conversation and how to convey it? Business communication is hardly meaningful, it's mostly "I need an address" or "where do you want this Chinese vase sent", stuff I won't remember tonight when I get home. I'm talking about meaningful conversation, I guess we maybe just missed what each other was getting at.

Well, yeah. I'm not saying you should ponder threads in the opinions forum and make them your thought pattern for the week. But the sheer fact that you want to debate a point like this. Instead of say, talking about GT5, proves that you care that WE understand your point of view. In other words, it carries meaning for you.

I see no point to talk about GT5 though since I don't own and probably won't own a PS3, it wouldn't be wise for me to even attempt to discuss it because I know nothing about it. Sure I'll pop into the GT5 forum every once in a while and comment on a few things, but I don't want to argue whether or not a livery editor should be concluded.

But I guess you're right, maybe I care more then I think I do.

I don't understand how people can have meaningful conversation through written words.
I am sure my grandmother would argue this point.

Honestly, unless I am trying to get some smooches I am better with written.

If I was going to discuss say whether or not God is real with my friends I wouldn't fire off an e-mail. I would do it face to face with them.
You would hate to see thd emails between me and my brother.

Why? Is that bad? :nervous:

Your past on this forum suggests you care more about what people think of you at GTPlanet more than a lot of us.

For some people, words are more beautiful than speech, and twice as meaningful. The heart doesn't limit itself to verbal expression. Meaning doesn't just come from the mouth.

In the past I agree with you, I was like that, I was immature...ok very immature. I had that whole high school mentality about me thinking that I had to be "cool" in order to be liked. I don't know really how to explain it but I think many high schoolers go through the same thing....identity crisis I think it's called. But people change, opinions change, feelings change. What I think today doesn't reflect how I will think in 10years, 5years, or even next year. I still think I'm around the age where I'm figuring stuff out, call it immaturity or whatever you want.

Yes! That's really cool. I'm not a big TV fan but that episode pretty much defines south park and WoW. Congrats to Matt and Trey. heh heh.

Bad.

Bad.

Bad.

It takes time away from other gaming activities, for instance me and one of my good friends run a CS/CS:S Clan ([NPF], then R|A, Now *Team.WSF), We had 2 servers, one here in Montana (the only one in billings also) And another down in kansas. Now we both played regularly, and had quite a few members (ten or eleven) as part of the clan.

Then it happened, He Purchased WoW. In less than 2 weeks of getting into wow he dropped the billings server, He claimed it was taking up too much bandwidth from WoW.

This is coming from a kid who has been playing CS since the Beta 1.3 days and has always had his own server running CS and CS:S. The Kid who taught me the ways of CS and ran half of our clan. We mapped maps for our clan for hours on end. drank every imaginable flavor of Mountain Dew and Doritos you could name. And then he drops the last 6 years of CS for WoW.

You cant get headshots in wow, Mapping? what mapping. Levels, a level should not indicate how good you are at a game, a rank maybe, but someone who ranks 1 out of 50000 on a server does not mean he is better than everyone else, or can slay someone without admin. No! WoW defeats everything ive learned in CS over the past 5 years. Everything. RPGs Are Not Games. CS Is, It requires Skill And Accuracy. not some stupid experience.

From what I hear, WoW split relationships but to me. Its just like any other MMO like RO or Maple Story. But then again I don't like 12 year olds( or sometimes 24 year olds) screaming in my ear like in Halo Online. So, SOCOM Online for the win 👍. I remember seeing a WoW video where a force just invaded a funeral hearing for a member of a PvP WoW server.,I can probably find the video.

user message
Some girl who played World of Warcraft died in real life, and those horrible failures of human beings planned a funeral for her... RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A PVP ZONE! They posted about the event on the messageboards and urged people not to bust it up.
