Leyton House F1 enough said.

I don't see why this is bad?

I actually quite like it and it does its job as it's very easy to know that it's a Leyton House car rather than being easily confused with others.

I think it's the combination of dark green and blue-grey that kills it.

Here's another one - the Sunred Ford GT1 livery:

I understand that Sunred is a late entry and they only had enough time to prepare one car instead of two, so the livery probably isn't a priority. Nevertheless, it still looks horrible. It wouldn't be too bad if it was an orange car with black stripes, or a silver-white car with black stripes ... but the silver bonnet, orange body and the black wheel arches - especially that vertical line at the door - make it a real eyesore. Which is a shame, because it's a great-looking car.

The Leyton House/March looks great. Quite handsome for a late 80s/early 90s F1 car.

It looks like something I'd expect to see in "Sex and the City", if "Sex and the City" was about rallying, and not about being so culturally insensitive that it makes terrorists hate us.

I just looks too plain and simple and the color combo is a bit like an easter egg. I liked the Newey design, just not a livery to write home about or even remember.

I don't mind the Hispania livery. It's a lot better than this year's.

I don't really see what there is to dislike about the livery being one colour anyway, other than maybe it being a bit bland.

I've not been keen on any of HRT's liveries. I've stated elsewhere, in this thread I think, that I give HRT credit for trying to raise sponsorship/awareness with the F111 but the livery itself was still a bit bleh. As was the F110, as is the F112.

I like the F110 and F112 liveries. The first F110 design, with the white stripe, a bit of a last-minute rush-job, but once they got right of the white and made the orange and yellow look like a streak of paint rather than a neat line, it actually looked pretty good.

I like the F112 design because it's fairly refined. The red and gold on white actually looks pretty classy, even if it is a little bit sterile. It probably doesn't help that it is the team's third livery change in as many years.

The F111, on the hand, was embarrassing. Even before you consider the way they never actually got a sponsor despite the THIS COULD BE YOU splashed all over it. Thesan Capital made up for it a little by removing thsoe decals and replacing them with a silver HRT, but the damage was already done.

I agree about the "This could be YOU" thing. It drew more attention to the fact they didn't have any sponsors.

The Brawn BGP-001 livery looked great (in my opinion) precisely because it wasn't covered with logos and slogans and whatnot, if they had done the equivalent of plastering "This space is available, call R. Brawn on..." down the side pods, it would've ruined it completely.

I get that it was meant as a joke, what with all the "This is a hot place" or whatever else, but it just didn't work.

The B193 is a good car with a decent livery, but it's specifically the Adelaide spec. There are a few minor alterations to it which make it look horrid. The red Sula on green bargeboards for one, and replacing the united colours of Benetton with Prince being another.

I agree with those bits, but it doesn't take too much away to me.

The more I see the RA107, the more I like it. The only reason I will forever dislike the RA107 is because it cost Rubens Barrichello the opportunity to score points in every season he competed in...

The RA108 is worse.

Interestingly, in searching the RA108 I found pictures of the stillborn RA109, which ultimately became the BGP001. But it still has the same horrid livery of 2008.

That's not an "RA109", it's just an RA108 with a 2009-spec front wing used during the 2008 post-season testing. A few other teams did the same, I remember that test session being the first time we saw BMWs horrid boxed front wing endplates.

No thank you.

Edit: This is the automotive equivalent of drawing spirals and cats onto the inside of greeting cards because it doesn't look like you've written enough.

It says a lot when Proton are fielding a better looking car than you are.

What is it meant to be anyway? The only thing I can make sense of is the Help For Heroes logo. Is it just "pretty colours yay!"?
