But that's not the real one. This is the real one. That IndyCar doesn't even look bad.

Team Vodafone's 2012 livery is pretty horrible:
Mostly because it's a politically-motivated design. The over-use of red coincides with Holden directing more and more money towards the team; it's a clear statement that Triple Eight is "theirs". It couldn't be any less subtle if it showed a picture of Simon McNamara - Holden's motorsport director - lifting his leg against the car to mark his territory.
Far too many colours and messy patterns:
Red completely ruins it:
Ugly car, ugly livery..again could probably do without the red:
Toyota's F1 liveries were all very lazy (their test car had a great livery though):
Very nice Mazda.
I raise you, Mastercard Lola.
I utterly hate the post-West liveried chrome McLarens.
You're right, silver doesn't often work well when it comes to sponsored liveries. However;
Silver being used well
McLaren MP4/13
Audi A4 quattro BTCC
Its similar to Tony Stewart's Home Depot car from a long time ago.
I actually like or at least don't mind many of the liveries posted in here. "Worst liveries" should be things like horrible color combinations (like orange and purple), unfitting colors like hot pink (not terribly motorsports-y), generic liveries (solid color or near-solid, perhaps with just a basic sponsor/team name printed blandly on there), or maybe liveries with humiliating sponsors.
Here's an excellent example of an atrocious livery:
It's just a bland, white car. Not only is it just nearly solid, but it's the most boring color that could ever be painted to a car. The only actual color splashed on there is the urine-yellow stripe. It's like a blank sheet of paper onto which someone made a quick streak with a yellow highlighter.
Simply put, hideous.
I like the car but sorry, stained glass windows are better seen in churches. To make it worse, the blue has like a purplish hue in GT5, makes it look even more mismatched.
I'll agree it was different, just... too different in my taste. If there was a halfway point between that and the R18's massive dullness I'd be on with that.
I'd like this one if it had more design to it, it comes off as too "in your face", in true Jäger style I guess.
Congratulations Citroen for sticking some white bits and stickers on primer...
I thought it looked great in both colors.
Sometimes a color change make a beautiful livery look wrong, the Aston Martin from this years Daytona 24 is a example of that.
That looks good ^
As for a bad scheme...
It looks like their logo they ordered was too large so they just slapped it on the side of the car. Euhg.
I'm very sorry, but the LMP1s were just boring (from the livery point of view)

And Porsche's 2015 Livery...
It's basicly a white car with 3 big letters: "PIP" for Porsche Intelligent Performance.
The livery is a mess.

Kyle Larson running this horror at Dover right now.
It's not the colour that makes it terrible - it's the circumstances under which the livery was chosen. It's just one color. How is that a livery?
Fluorescent colors on anything other than white backgrounds, do not belong on professional racing cars, period.

The livery is the direct result of political bickering and in-fighting. It's a reminder of the sport at its worst. This isn't the worst circumstances of all time thread.

It's not too bad lol. Great car though.I know it's my own teams livery. But man is it ghastly.
That particular shade of red is commonly associated with the Holden Racing Team. The livery was introduced at a time when Holden effectively bought the team. They deliberately redirected funds from all of their smaller customer teams to pay for it, and a lot of the merchandise and paraphernalia produced at the time claimed credit for the previous year's championship, even though it had been won with a different manufacturer. It just looks like a typical Vodafone livery to me, what's so politically incorrect about that?
It's cheesy, but I can tolerate it...more than I can say for the restaurant thoughLove the restaurant, hate the livery.
Love the restaurant, hate the livery.
An overrated cartoon sponsoring a car for an overrated racing series? No. Just NO.
To be fair, the Vodafone red is pretty much the same anyway, and the the full red 2012 livery was the 3rd year T8 had run Holden's. They didn't even keep it the whole season, they had that chrome livery post-Bathurst (if I recall correctly). That particular shade of red is commonly associated with the Holden Racing Team. I just remember seeing some coverage of it on television once where Kim Schmidt - the guy who created Megaupload - showed a pretty blatant disregard for the law or the safety of other drivers as he raced down a Spanish highway.Yeah, it's basically the "bring your supercar down, wrap it in terrible vinyl's, drive like an arse for a few hundred kilometres and objectify women for a weekend" weekend
Yeah, sorry. I got GC and Homebush mixed up :/Chrome livery was for Sydney only, as a send off for Vodafone. In my opinion, the full red was the best they ever ran.
I Much prefer the rainbow livery. But valid point.Bite your tongue
