Worst Liveries Of All Time

Not sure what people will think of this, but I've never liked the 1995 Rosberg Calibras. There's something unpleasant about such a tart yellow sandwiched between metallic blue and silver. The mix and match sponsor colours don't do it any favours either, with the Hasseroder in particular sticking out like a sore thumb.

It'd be much better without the silver, but I can't say I find the rest that bad.

Perhaps because it just is nowhere near as terrible as the 1996 McDonald's one.

Inter Europol have a new contender for the worst livery of 2016:

A horrible green that looks like an early 1970's British Leyland reject, with a very sudden fade into what I can only describe as unripened banana, which then turns into a very solid yellow. The gold wheels don't do it any favours either.

I was worried that was a Carlin then, who have had some of the best GP2 liveries of recent times...
It's a Trident, which is disappointing because their GP3 Series livery looks pretty good:

I'm pretty sure it's just Philo Paz Armand's design that is ghastly; Luca Ghiotto's uses white in the place of the yellow on the engine cover and in the place of the red on the sidepods.

This is what the Carlin GP2 design looks like:

I can't find many images of testing (do you have a good link to follow?) but looking at the results page, I presumed it would be one of the "Jagonya Ayam Campos Racing" entries. Again without more recent images, I presume they look very similar to last years Abu Dhabi test:

Liking the Carlin look once again, and I think I saw either the other car or one of their GP3 entries sporting some purple stripes rather than the dayglo yellow.

Go to the GP2 Series website and click "Multimedia".

There are four Jagonya Ayam cars this year: the two Campos cars of Mitch Evans and Sean Gelael, the Trident car driven by Philo Paz Armand, and a Prema Racing car driven by Antonio Giovinazzi. The money comes from Gelael's father who owns the rights to the KFC brand in Indonesia.

In addition to the one I posted above, there are two of these:

And one of these:

(The second Prema car is driven by Pierre Gasly and has Red Bull backing.)

Pretty much anything that advertises KFC is a horrible livery.

It doesn't look good on any of them

I found the pictures eventually, I thought the 6 or so you see on the homepage was the entire gallery!

That is bloody beautiful.

I think he's referring to physical form instead of liveries. F1 just has a broken regs package, and when you add ridiculous budgets, every little loophole in design gets exploited. That means weird proportions and sprouty winglets.

A single-make lower formula car has no strict design requirements to adhere by, and there's no need to go beyond anything other than a basic design that works. You also don't want overly complex or fragile cars because the junior ladder is more crowded than ever, so doubling the budget because the cars are highly strung and needlessly complicated isn't going to make your series a very attractive package.

From the GT3 series in Asia. It also comes in neon baby blue if yellow isn't your style. :yuck: Bad enough there's that one, but there are twins?!?!?!
the silver chrome looks extremely silly, and what's going on in the mouth of that 458?

I'd much rather the 650s in the background.

I love the Clearwater Racing livery! Looks great on track (imo).
The blue isn't as nice as the yellow/red.
