Well, I did encounter something that gave me a chuckle. In a seasonal event races, one of the AI driver's names was 'A. Cooper'. Alice Cooper in GT5, lol.

The GTPlanet Anti-Troll Patrol (GTPATP)👍

BTW, do you guys accept freelance agents?

I think I could take part in some missions with my loaded Stormer as a moving obstacle (that is, if I'm online).
Sure. You'll have to consult with ZDUPH to make you a part of our social group ;)

I saw a S.Vettel somewhere but I can't find it again :(

Was it the Vettel challenge? :sly:

Yesterday I bought a lovely Miura, (accidentally) painted it in a great colour, put it on a set of Boyd Coddington wheels and tuned it up a bit, and afterwards I thought to myself 'This will make an excellent car for cruising.'
And so I joined a cruise lobby.
Long story short, it wasn't a very good cruise lobby. There were people drifting, racing and outright being annoying, but the host didn't seem to be AFK. I went in spectator mode and looked at the host in his purple/lime green Evo X, and saw him doing exactly the same as the other people in the lobby. I commented on this tomfoolery, and the host just responded with 'be a cop then'.
... what?!

I was hopping from lobby to lobby last night and I managed to go into what seemed a nice lobby but out of the blue a small argument blew up and the whole lobby started going mad, rammers, wrong way drivers, parking in track, x1s, tank cars, all because of someone's car colour and they were shouting down headsets and writing in capitals with spaces to get around filter. I never said a thing and sat in lobby laughing pretty hard due to all this mayhem.

Here's a little story I'll share, maybe there's a lesson in here. Two days ago, I built a custom '69 Camaro. This isn't some fully-tuned monster, it's a hot-rod built how I like it. It's painted matte black, weighs 1300kg, puts down 500HP and has a good suspension setup so it actually handles. Apart from a Route X lobby where I tested the speed of it, I've only been in cruise rooms with it. It's a nice cruiser, I've gotta say, but in pretty much every cruise lobby, it's been the same. My nice Camaro has been crashed into, smashed, ground against the wall, rear-ended, smacked and generally beaten up to hell. I've just come out of another such cruise lobby at London. And after that, all I can say is...

"They did it... They FINALLY did it... They FINALLY killed my 🤬 car..."

My idiot searching is more sucessful.

I'm in a cop lobby right now and was in another one before, cruising around in my blue mustang. There was some guy lagging around the track in his Impreza.
Now, I'm dealing with a moron that's ramming people in a veyron.

Good luck with that. There's plenty of hackers, rammers, X1s, Tank Cars, Veyrons, drag racers, speeders, drifters and general idiots in cruise lobbies. To them, my old Camaro is a chew toy...

Thanks, I just had to leave the lobby because my connection there was starting to fade a bit and I think the veyron guy left too.

Aw man. That Camaro sounds badass.

Well you know who to call.............. GT5 Anti-Trollers :sly: post the room number for immediate backup.

It's pretty nice. Matte black with black wheels. If I could do whatever I want to it, I'd get rid of the white stripes and put a black nose stripe like a '67 Camaro on the front. I'd put it on a 2010 Camaro chassis, with a 6 speed transmission and a Z06 LS7 V8 engine. But no matter what I do to it, it's gonna end up wrecked in a cruise lobby anyway.

I'll let you guys know when things become too much for me. I've been able to deal with my own trolls very well so far, I've scared some out of lobbies before or just annoyed them.

Joined a lobby full of Nissan GTRs and Zonda Rs.

I think "I'll show a few up with my Ford GT Le Mans car" and pull out of the pits, by this point a GTR in gold chrome (owner must be 6...) pulls behind me and says "Cool car. Bet u can't win me" (I resisted the grammar check) so we line up on the start and he gets off well, get to the first corner (Track is Laguna Seca) and he flies into the sand. I cruise by, he says "Restart" so we line up again. He goes off at corner 2, says "Restart". Line up, off at 1, "Restart". Off at last corner "Restart" even though he had already lost. So I typed "Ummm, you lost anyway. I crossed the line..." So he types "RESTART" I drive off and leave him.

Halfway round the track, BANG! A gold chrome GTR. Guess who? He spams the message box with "RESTART" and I eventually leave. He types a message saying "I win. Give me Ur car" I type back "I will, for an F40" he sends it, I send him a white as black ford GT with the wing.

It's harsh, but I didn't say which. Besides, he hasn't noticed.

That was freaking boss.

I almost feel that there should be age restrictions for racing games online sometimes or at least for a lobby. I once dealt with a kid that was ramming people in his car and tried getting at my Green Gallardo Superleggera Replica.

You have one too!

GT5 does have an age restriction of 3+ but sadly games like this can not be any higher, there is no violence, blood, bad language (except the online players) and sexual themes . Unless B-spec Bobs start getting it on, children will continue to play GT5 and potentially GT6, as the age rating will be still low.

I do agree there needs to be an age rating of 15 for games like this, however with the ps4 you will need a PlayStation plus subscription. This should limit the number of young players online, I Doubt many parents will cough up the money for the monthly. yearly fee.

That's one good thing about the Playstation plus at least. I'll be looking forward to the PS4 once I get enough money for it.

Age Restrictions though would only make a bit of an difference though if implemented; Call of Duty servers prove that. The only thing I can think of is that possibly there could be an age limiter option for online lobby making, but I don't think gaming companies would go for that. I think it would be a good tool though that could drive kids to stay out of more mature lobbies and they could make their own lobbies if they want to crash into people.
