You should say you hate the unrealistic hybrids instead of hybrids in general.
Correct. My bad. Slammed cars etc are ok. The [insert ridiculous number here]HP cars bug me.

EDIT: I just noticed that I started 3 out of the last 4 pages here.

All good man. Trust me, most people get upset with those type of people too. 👍

Far too many people online who think they are channeling their inner Schumacher and any loss must be through outside intervention.

...Because GT5 is a TRUE measure of your driving prowess and proper position in life. Reality has dealt you a crappy hand and prevented you from fulfilling your destiny and world's greatest driver.

I hate hybrids. I loved it back when I had the fastest legitimate X1 (342.1mph, if anyone's gone faster w/o draft let me know) and nobody could beat me at speed. But now there's always a 1000mph hybrid that humiliates me. :(

~GT5Power <--- This is no more. Look at my sig. :D

MadMax, has got his to 342.4 mph w/o draft. Also, even though they don't accelerate that fast, the GT-One Toyotas go faster. Mine gets 345.2 w/o drafting, on speedtest.

My AMS Alpha Omega replica - 1800AWHP- 1725kg ( no engine or chassis swap, just special engine tuning and turbo ), actually can go over 370 mph with no draft if given appropriate gearing and enough long stretch of road. The real car topped out at 230+mph due to short gearing for quarter mile drag.

The high top speed in GT5 is inherently due to the flawed aero and drag physics applied to some chassis. I have modified many cars with stock chassis - upping the power to more than 800HP, some barely reach 340kmh with optimized gearing, some can easily reach 380+kmh, all with zero downforce and similar weight/power ratio. It seems GT5 do include chassis drag as well.

What do you mean by that?

I do have an old story to say, it goes back far long before I joined GTPlanet.

I was in a cop lobby and well; I was getting a bit annoyed (Surprise, surprise! XD), mainly because they were just being irritating and then a couple of people decided to drive jay leno tank cars to form road blacks and one of them blocked the pit stop exit (the track was Madrid Full Course btw). I then made a simple comment that I refuse to be apart of this nonsense and the host said he had enough of my d*****baggery and kicked me.

I made only a few opinions about aspects on the lobby, I didn't insult anyone, I just wanted to express how I felt about a few things.

342.4 HUH? Back to tuning... :banghead:

On topic: Cops lobbies are usually awful. I did however join a good one two weeks ago.

How did you test it? If you want, try going reverse to the other straight to the top of the hill and then turn around and go in the right direction. That way you will probably exit the corner at 300+ mph and the car will be at around 315mph when it starts measuring your speed oposed to 0mph if you just start of the countdown. That may help you gain those 0.2 mph lol

What do you mean by that?

I mean that many folks need to remember that this is a piece of entertainment. This isn't a career in racing. There is not "professional" racing because no one is getting paid to play.

Also, "simulation" is a very loose term in this game. For instance, the SLS is not the greatest handling car in real life, but in the game it is one of the best.

People just need to lighten up and remember who they are in real life. In fact, I think the GT Academy is dubious.

That's kinda cheating imo... But if it's gonna help me gain the missing 0.3mph then I might as well do it :P

EDIT: Still at 342.1... I think my X1 is cursed, it won't go any faster.

EDIT2: Boom! 345!

EDIT3: I just wanted this post to be on topic, so I'll just say that network incompatibility is one of my biggest pet peeves. Happens to me 90% of the time. Also: "You can't connect to this room at the moment" or something similar. What does that even mean? :irked:

Ah ok.

Totally agree well said.

Quit ramming this off topic guys.

I want to test the skills of the online commoners. I want to make a room with RWD cars on Dirt and Snow only. Pure comedy gold will result from that. What do you say guise? Shall we execute this evil plan?

You must use Escudo's!! 730pp off roading:scared:

I'm playing Battledudebro 4 right now so maybe tomorrow ;)

I already had a drift race in a Stratos Rally Car :D

You should say you hate the unrealistic hybrids instead of hybrids in general.

You “realistic hybriders”, aka trashy dirtbag cheating hackers, are really starting to have an impact on those of us who just want to enjoy PD's GT5 online.

Again, last night someone, a good racer, someone I might even consider friending, leaves my room in disgust, because he thinks the race winner is a hacker. I try to tell the guy I have known this person forever – long before the hacking started, and they were always that fast. But why should he believe me when there are so many hackers online?

This is becoming more and more common. Don’t tell me (Johnny) that this has anything to do with anyone’s ignorance. If anyone is ignorant it is you hackers, thinking that your “realistic hybrids” are ok. They are not. PD made the Yellow bird and the Stratos and other cars handle poorly for a reason. It is PD’s game.

You hackers are by far the worst thing to happen to GT5 online. BY FAR!

I can kick a crasher from my room. I can tell a noobie to use more brakes in my room.

There is not a damn thing I can do to convince someone I run a clean room when they are so used to seeing rooms full of hackers.

So my latest hybrid, a RUF BTR with 430HP, only customize the low rpm turbo and engine tuning, heavier at 1379kg, 4 speed gearbox like real life 930 turbo, basically a replica of this :

10206625296_cb307d616e_b_d.jpg

less potential, less PP ( same HP ) and slower than equivalent "original" 430HP RUF BTR due to 4 speed long gearing + almost 200kg heavier, is a trash dirtbag cheating hacker car :yuck:

By the way, I brought this car on public lobbies several hours ago, I tuned it for 500PP ( less HP ), had several races, nobody knows it's a hybrid, it's performance is just like a handicapped RUF BTR at the same PP. Some took notice of it when they watch me run during free run, they see it has only 4 gears.

I then said it's replica hybird of a car featured in speedhunters, some says it's cool and fine to use for the next race. Some just being plain rude and call me hacker :( The rude parties kept quiet when I only finished in the middle of the pack for several races. Looks like as long as I'm not winning, it's okay for me to drive my replica .... then I joined another lobby, the host is different now, I asked early if I can drive my 4 speed 930 turbo replica - 430HP-1379kg that I will tune for 500PP, he kicked me in an instant :grumpy:
