WRC 9 Coming in September 2020, Will Hit PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X Later

I personally think they will just keep adding stuff over the next few years and make it as expansive as they can, which will set an interesting benchmark for Codies once the series sadly moves over to them.

I hope not! I'm already expecting WRC10 for next year with even more improvements to physics/handling, graphics, well... everything, specially now that we have a new generation of consoles upon us.

I mean they keep putting out titles and keep adding more and more content.

Watching videos I noticed that the wheel movement in dashview can never match the wheel one uses in the race pod.

Can this be adjusted or can the wheel be visually removed?

Really looking forward to this as I absolutely adored WRC 8. Though, I was too busy with Dirt Rally 2.0 to give 8 my full attention. From what I did play I think WRC 8 is better than DR 2.0 in many ways, especially stage design and career. But also, while DR might have technically better driving physics, WRC 8 is more fun and feels faster I say.

I think my only complaint is the 30 FPS on consoles. Some stages are super bumpy and can be difficult on the eyes with a lower frame rate.

Should probably know better, but I preordered. Can’t resist trying the new locations.

In the meantime I’ll get geared up for the inevitable wheel settings adjustment process and will probably have that ironed out by the release of WRC 10.

Another hope (but not expecting anything) is the fixing of some crazy cockpit and dash views. The most recent WRC Ford comes to mind. It’s either sit in the back and look through a telescope or having your face smashed against the windshield.
As much as I love the WRC in general, I just can't seem to get the steering feel anywhere close to how good it is in Dirt Rally 2.0, I'm really hoping WRC 9 is a step in the right direction. If not, there's always waiting until 2024 when Codemasters develops and releases the official WRC title

Well I finally got off my #NoVrNoBuy high horse and pre-ordered on the Epic Store. Looking forward to try out the improvements and maybe we can get a GTP league going when the Clubs arrive. One thing that sucks is that they are NOT cross-platform.

Regarding the stages: Since KT has been recycling stages since WRC 6 (beyond the total overhauls of a three or four rallies per year) I find it absolutely unacceptable that we are now going to have the exact same Rally Sweden for the THIRD TIME IN A ROW. WRC 6 has so many stages that we never saw again. Why don't they just upgrade some of those?

Anyway, looking forward to giving it a try and see if the physics have improved as much as @VVV Mars VG claims they have. For the record, I did like WRC 8's handling and FFB. As an RBR player obviously it's still got a long way to go, but WRC 8 was very solid. Hoping for further improvements. And tweaking the odd, inconsistent and at times bizarre structure of the career mode.

I am thinking of getting a physical copy for ps4.

Is it known how to get the Audi if you purchase a hard copy?

And the Corolla of course.

I see in the psn store that for wrc 8 you can dl the Alpine for 3.99 Euros. Perhaps something similar will happen for 9?

Yes i hope this is patched, the lack of wheel movement is ridiculous. The rest of the dashboard and experience looks really realistic so when you turn full look and the wheel only rotates 5 degrees it really spoils it.

I notice there is a close dashboard cam in WRC8 and 9, without the steering wheel. Probably that 's the best option.

The addition of the 1999 Corolla has me thinking about the Celicas, specifically the GT-Four ST-185 and ST-205 not being in many games lately other than the ST-185 in Sebastian Loeb Rally Evo. I've not seen the ST-205 in ages and I can't think of any game with the ST-165.

Point I am making, I wish any variation of the GT-Four were in this game or Dirt. :P

The ST185 will be in either 10 or 11. I heard KT's goal is to have every car that has ever won a WRC championship before they lose the license.

That's good to hear. If that's the case then I'll be happy to also see the Evo III and IV, which you almost never see in rally games.

When playing on controller i use bonnet cam which is fine but i went into interior view just for the look and its so dark you can barely see the road without lights on,please tell me this is a bug and not in wrc8 because it’s going to be very hard to live with when using my wheel, also no seat adjustment which is not ideal. Edit found the fov adjustment and you can move the camera positions up down forward backwards so that's great ,that works for all views as well.

In wrc8 i noticed it's the opposite, you can see the road ahead brighter in cockpit view, as if to simulate your pupils dilated from being in the darker cockpit compared to the hood and other cams, i like it, only way to see well ahead.
Yh that be a bummer if its reversed now in 9.

So sounds like they did swap it then, hopefully they can patch it out because its pretty much unusable at the moment, might try and turn hdr off on tv see if it improves it will post result later as off it for a while
