Wrecked Supercars And Exotics!!!!

Another dick in a flashy car strikes again.
Coming back to this one
Not a ton of damage, but a F12 Berlinetta crashed in Morocco.

That suspension has collapsed as front wing is grounded, that could be a whole corners rebuild, bit mord expensive than it looks.

Didnt most get recalled (or undelivered?)

Quick search and 5 of the 2014 991 GT3 has caught fire, rest have either not been driven, not been delivered and have all been recalled.
Ironic as the RS comes with an extinguisher.

A $200k Porsche crashed within 80 miles? I smell a large insurance claim like the Galveston Bugatti "accident"

5 is the number of cars quoted in the press. The Porsche official press release says 2 cars have caught fire. A full recall has been issued for those cars already produced and delivered (785 cars), further deliveries have been halted and owners have been asked not to drive their cars.

As I understand it, the issue is conrod through the block followed by oil leaking on to hot exhaust pipes and catching fire. Not sure how much use a fire extinguisher would have been.

Naw probably just some moron who thought he could have too much fun in his brand new GT3.

The guy who was driving has said...

He was driving at 50mph in a 60mph limit, with his young daughter in the car, following his wife and being followed by another member of his family. The car spun unexpectedly in to the path of an oncoming car, from which 4 people had to be cut free.

On the face of it, this doesn’t sound very believable, but I guess for legal reasons he can’t say more than that as there’s bound to be a very big insurance claim involved.

Cause of the incident - wife driving to slow ;P. Manuel or paddle shift? Could of been a mis downshift causing tyre spin.

The driver was South African footballer Rooi Mahamutsa. And he really did leave the scene with barely a scratch on him. Speeding in wet conditions wasn't a great idea, evidently.

And since when was a 330i M Sport (?) an exotic? :P

Is it wrong that I want to see how the car ended up like that?

Speeding on a wet road, car spun and he went backwards into a guard rail. Must have been going at a hell of a pace to spin in a straight line and then go that far on the rail..

Still utterly amazing that he came out of that not only alive but with no injuries what so ever..

That's the tale I read some 6 posts above yours when the pictures were posted...

Still want to SEE how it happened. Like a digital recreation, minus any graphic details. (Sounds like he made it out ok though)

Can't you create a picture in your head of how it happened? It seems pretty obvious. Speeding, slippery road, same speed but now backwards, oh my god, that is the end of the guard rail, better lube up, BMW! Aaaaaaaaargh. Penetration in the rear.

You can't piece it together using imagination? strange, the story in text form was enough for me to "See" how it happened.

Wow, really? I happen to be a visual learner is all. I'd rather see it than to read a sentence and imagine it.
