:: WRS Driver's Choice : Week 96 ::

This is your chance to voice your opinion regarding what type of WRS combo we will have for week 96. You have 2 options, the option with the most votes will be chosen for that week, and the losing option will be carried forward to the next WRS Drivers Choice, and will therefore compete against a different option.

When you make your choice, you can also post here with a suggestion that matches your choice. For example, if you vote for GT-Mode, you therefore make a suggestion based on GT-Mode. If you vote for Arcade Rally, you therefore make a suggestion based on Arcade Rally. Easy?

You can also suggest a car that has already been used in the WRS. Remember that not all drivers have competed in every race.

If someone makes a suggestion that you agree with, say so. Also, do the same if you don’t agree with it.

A few days before the publication of week 96, I will select a suggestion for week 96 (with a slight alteration).

Only WRS members can vote. Any votes made by a non WRS member will be removed or ignored.

I love gettin' dirty, I voted arcade rally. I haven't driven rally since the BC when Luxy pretty much walked all over me, lol.

Voted GT Mode race. 👍

My suggestion is to use a rivals theme like we did with the Impreza vs Evo from a few weeks ago.
Maybe Skyline vs Supra, only to make it interesting, go with the R33 (since it comes from the same year).
So, any '95-'97 GT-R33 vs the '97 Supra RZ.

If that happens, I strongly suggest using some basic limits to keep things all even... 500hp max and either S or R tires so the Supra actually has a chance to move and not just spin the wheels. 👍

Now, if that's not exactly what you're looking for... How about...
Any FF, 300HP max, 3.0 pwr, S tires.
Or...
Super car Sarthe battle... Nardo, Cien, Zonda, etc.
Or in honor of some Best Motoring I was watching last night...

NA vs Turbo battle! Yeah, I like that. :sly:
Go with HP and Weight limits for both sides but make them slightly different as to accentuate the differences between the two types of cars.
I've got it...
NA vs Turbo:
NA must run with no more than 300hp and no less than 3.0pwr.
Turbo must run with no more than 400hp and no less than 3.0pwr.
Sports tires & a "smaller" ciruit
(such as grand valley east or tsukuba).

That setup would leave the 1200kg turbo cars like the Supra and Skyline room to run 400hp and get down to nearly 3.000pwr while the well known NA cars like the S2000 could run their 900kg and get down to about 3.000pwr as well. 👍

I like the last idea most... NA vs Turbo: 3.0 pwr: 300hp & 400hp respective limits: Smaller Circuit

GT mode for me 👍

A DTM race car fully moded would be a great car to drive, can't find this amazing cars used at any forums :ouch:

There is a huge difference using DS2 or DFP in rally to make it fair enough, since I cant play with DS2 I'm not intrested in rally races.

gt mode for me - always - as it sometimes covers for my lack of driving skills or at least enlarge my driving pleasure in any wrs week.

rallye's: never for me - gt4 is just no good at it ...
gpkart's suggestion (dtm): great, as long as no city tracks will be used
kent's (final) suggestion: excellent, wrs weeks with car choices are always great, especially in gt mode!
jerome and ron (rallye): booh :sly:

my personal suggestion (as already mentioned in the suggestions box):
i suggest we take the aston db9 coupe for a spin to celebrate ben's probable return. gt mode, s3 or r1, no WR but otherwise all options. tracks: apricot, midfield or el capitan.

Arcade - yes
Rally - nooooo !
GT mode - ok, I guess (maybe the RX7 shootout - taky any RX7, tune it to 350hp, sport tires)

racde mode

mzda mx5 nurburgring

soft tires

Arcade - yes
Rally - nooooo !
GT mode - ok, I guess (maybe the RX7 shootout - taky any RX7, tune it to 350hp, sport tires)

Forget normal Arcade Mode, it isn't an option for week 96. 👍

BTW, is the Race Admin allowed to vote? :sly:

Is the Race Admin allowed to vote?
YES you are a 'normal' participant as well aren't you? i sure hope your personal feelings don't interfere with wrs choices all too often :)

GT Mode
Grand Valley Raceway
NISMO GT-R LM Road Going Version

-or-

GT Mode
El Capitan
Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo (J) '95

GT Mode

Jag E-Type or Renault Clio RenaultSport V6 Phase 2

Jag - oil change (no other power upgrades) add any thing else to the car though - S2 tyres No Weight Reduction

Renault - oil change, Stage 1 NA Tune and Racing chip (no other power upgrades) add anything else to the car though - S2 tyres No Weight Reduction

both these cars are excellent to drive no matter what track you are on

I voted GT-Mode :D. I love the dirt and all, but not for the WRS. GRRRRR!
Laters.

Sammy. :D

Edit:
Woops. I didn't put down a track or anything. Sorry.
Hmmm... I think the Dome Zero on.... Hmmmm. Not Trial Mountain. I can't think of the name. Hold on. *thinking, please hold*
Deep Forest Raceway.

Or the Chevrolet SSR Fully tuned with a wing on Grand Valley Speedway. That would be awsome. There's my ideas.
WRS Fact: There have been no trucks or SUVs in the WRS. Wierd. But ok. Bye. :D

It's still early days, but Arcade Rally is doing very well at the moment.

GT Mode. An old American Muscle Car of some sort. Something big and heavy, with tons of torque, and on a very twisty track so it's a REAL challenge to get it to go around turns. Set a power-to-weight-ratio limit of some sort, throw some sport-soft tires on there, and go! All mods allowed, except Nitrous, as long as the PWR-limit is not broken.

I like ralleye racing, but not in GT4... Just not quite right as far as I'm concerned.

GT-Mode with a TVR Cerbera Six, full mods. On something like Special Stage Route 5 or something that's a relatively fast track.

But just to get it out there, I think a rally with any non group-b car at Tahiti Maze would be fantastic.

If I manage to find time to race this week, I would like:

GT Mode - Laguna Seca - Ford GT40 Race Car :)

I'd love to run:

Mitsubishi Evo IV Rally Car '97
Chamonix Reverse, Ice Arena or Tahiti
-20%
-10%

Peugeot 205 T16 Rally Car '85
Georges V Paris
-20%
-10%

The longer wheelbase on the Evo makes it one of the more stable cars on snow/dirt, and it's got a nice even powerband which makes it one of the easiest and most enjoyable rally cars to drive 👍

The Pug is just a personal favourite ;)

What he said, with the exception that I'd prefer Opera Paris to George V.

The Pug's a favourite of mine too.

So Arcade Rally style for me.

GT mode - Tahiti Maze - All cars with a rally car version, but you use the road car version (see details) - Tuned to just be under a certain PWR.

I'll make a list, but the cars are basically Lancia Stratos, Audi Quattro, Ford RS200, etc. All non rally versions but they must have a rally counterpart in real life. I'll get a list of the cars I would allow personally in a bit. ;) Uh, now to do some more racing at Tokyo :)

I definitely agree with you about the Evo IV, as it is my favourite rally car by far. The only problem is that we've already used it Week 60 at Grand Valley. True, that wasn't a rally week, but with 700 cars to choose from I'm going to doubt it will be used again.

But perhaps we could use the newer of the Evo rally cars. Basically I'm just going to hope that we'll be at Tahiti, but not with a Spec-B.

Whoohoo! Arcade Rally!

Suggestions, if needed, I gave 'em earlier in the appropriate thread. But to sum it up:

4WD Roadcars at around 200HP - I found the '85 Celica GT-Four the most enjoyable to drive around Chamonix. Great fun... Audi TT and S3/A3 worked great, too.
Other suggestions: Sub-200HP Fwds (Yes, Front-wheel drive) around Cathedral Rocks Trail I (With Tarmac). I found the Clio Sport a joy to drive there, as well as the Pugs (106s, 206s) and Alfas.
Low (~150HP) powered lightweigh ancient Rwds (Alfa GTA, Isuzu GT-R) around any of the gravel/dirt-circuits. I know they have less power than the Fwds, but the Fwds are remarkably stable and good-handling on GT4's Dirt - far better than the excessively-spinning Rwds.

Whatever it'll be, I'll love it.
