WRS'ers and their ride...

All these stunning cars :scared: I'm jealous. This is my car as off 3 minutes ago...

Sweet rides guys! Especially you BoomB, that thing's AWESOME! Has to be a GREAT daily driver and fun in the mountains car... I love those!

Thanks KLR. We got some sweet roads up here to rip on. But you gotta be careful as if you make a mistake, you're going over the edge. :nervous:

This pic is taken from the side of highway 24 overlooking the ghost town of Gilman.
HY 24 through Battle Mountain Pass is definately a butt puckering road, but that's what makes it so fun. :sly:

^Ooooh, snap! Awesome!^

Brad, your picture isn't working for me...

I see now what's going on there Troux. Stock turbos? Any chance of an underhood picture? I only have just under 300whp to go to catch up to you... Lol, should be at least a 100-130 closer by this time next year. :sly:

Yeah, when I said BPU in the original post, that stands for basic performance upgrades, which basically encompasses anything doone to the engine while still on stock turbos. APU (advanced) would be upgraded turbo, fuel system, standalone, etc.

Goooootcha. I haven't heard that used before... I assume that's a regular thing over on the Supra and other forums though. Coolness.

Hosted it personally. Just for you Kyle 👍 (A few people around here are having trouble with imageshack lately also)

Troux
^Wish we had some of that in FL!

I'll trade ya for some oxygen. A lot of horsepower loss at 9000+ feet above sea level.

I gotta question for ya Troux. How do you like the braided brake lines? I've been thinking of getting some SS brake lines and high performance pads to add some stopping powa.

Well performance pads can add a lot of bite in stopping power, and since you have to take the wheels and rotors off to replace the pads, you might as well do the brake lines, since they're so easy and you'll be bleeding in the end anyways. I got a full set for under $100 shipped. Yours might even be cheaper. They do a good bit for response, moreso than actual stopping power, but the biggest gain comes when they get hot, say after some high-speed braking or Auto-Xing.

Awww, thanks Brad!

Boom, pads will change the feel of the brakes(maybe a tiny bit less spongy, maybe a bit better bite for less pedal pressure, all after they've been seated that is), and lines will mainly just make the pedal feel more firm, and you'll have a tiny tidbit of more feedback through the pedal. SS lines are an AWESOME upgrade if you're serious about feel. I love them on my car, and can't wait to get some for my bike.

Troux, normally when changing pads and rotors you don't need to bleed the system...? Maybe it's different on your car, but most/all of the cars that have been through our shop(mostly Euro cars, and Subarus) don't get their fluid touched... But in any case, I'm ALL for getting some SS lines!

Actually, rarely do they have to be bled, but when UPGRADING the pads (as he said he was considering), you may have thicker pads, which will require moving the piston(s), which may require a bleed.

^Thanks!

KLR, I forgot to mention those numbers were pulled on a Mustang Dyno, (better for tuning, due to more "realistic" numbers), which are known to give HP and TQ numbers about 10-15% lower than Dynojet dynos, which are the norm. It's safe to say on 18PSI I could probably put down 440ish at the wheels on a Dynojet. Dynojets are almost always used for numbers/bragging rights, and 18 PSI is considered an average boost level for the stock twins on pump gas, so that 440 is probably a more comparable number you're looking for. :D

Hey, guys. I'm new here. :D Anyways, here's my pride and joy:
1995 Toyota Supra TT 6sp

WOW! The '95 Supra is my absolute FAVORITE Supra of all time! I'm so jealous! :P What a sweet ride, man! Love it!!! If you're ever in the Atlanta area, you've GOT to come take me for a ride -- I'll trade you a ride in my '68 Galaxie. (Read my earlier post for more info on the Gal.)

Have fun with that Supra!

Actually, I bought my car from ATL, and made friends with Jeremy Blackwell, one of the nation's top Supra gurus, with a shop based out of ATL. He hosts a yearly meet up there called Supra Shootout in October/November that I'll most likely be at this year. There's dyno, drag, Road Atlanta (Can't WAIT for this!), and cruising/chilling with tons of Supra owners.

I used to have a '74 Chevelle, so I know what fun it is to have a torquey tire-melter. GOD I miss that car!

Ahhh..... Yes, you did forget to mention, lol. That makes more sense to me now. 👍 :)

If I get it running right by August, I'll get it on a Dynojet to see what my internet bragging number would be.

Hey, it's not internet bragging, it's just different. I think they're more accurate than Mustangs, :-P.

My car is a 2005 Crystal Gray Metallic Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
Nice I always wanted a WRX. I took one for a test drive once and it blew my mind :) I immediately jumped on the phone looking for insurance prices though and that brought me back down to earth :(

Interestingly enough, I test drove a 02 WRX back to back with an RSX(with an intake and springs on it), and I felt that the RSX was faster and more fun to drive... Now, with an intake and springs on the WRX, I'm sure it'd turn back the other direction, but still. There's something about NA, high rpm power that tickles me...

Troux

I have jest changed the sway bars, end links, and some STI GroupN bushing.
I am working on the suspension right now and the power later.
I like your Supra. I have a 95 Supra SE and still miss it.

The insurance is $600 less on the STI than the Integra Type R I have before the STI. I pick up the STI as a replacement for the R after it was stolen.

my new toy

2002 Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo

picked it up today

Inline Turbo 6 cylinder
Power - 240kW (for now ;))
Torque - 450Nm

more photos when i can be bothered another night...

My car is now faster then Colbys! Both have 1.8s, but the difference is, now mine is a Turbo V8 1.8.

Proof.

You should see the other guys cower away at the lights when they see the awesome Turbo V8 power of the purple SEAT.

Gotta add another car to my ride list. Just (2 months ago) bought a 2006 Mini Cooper S with 6 speed manual, navi, 17' Pirelli Runflat tires and the real leather. This little monster with it's supercharged engine is the fastest go-kart I've ever driven. After breaking in I can chirp second gear ,nothing like my '70 Chevelle but the Chevelle is only good on a very straight line. Now if I could just get my wife out of it!!!
