Oh no, my tyres were right on the edge - only had 20% left for 6 laps? I was just trying to keep ahead of Akmuq, that failed oh well :)

i was going to attempt a ridiculous 1 stop strategy, but i fell 4 laps short on both stints. if i had known that a pitstop was 45 seconds i could have gone a lot slower and made it work, but that was too much of a gamble for me to attempt. anyway, im happy with 3rd, although im dreading the long straights in the chappy :nervous:

Sorry I missed the race today, just got busy. Looks like it was a bad turnout for C2.

I thought I was going to be on a 4 stop, happy I pulled a 2 off 👍

Did you use racing Med's or hards?

i went hard, hard medium. the mediums wore at the same rate as the hards which is astonishing. i was annoyed with myself in my last stint, as after 10 laps they had the same tyre wear as my hards had after 7/8 laps :banghead:

I ended up one stopping, could have got P4/5 had I not got unlucky and crashed into others wrecks.

Less fuel means less wear mate - never mind, you've learned now so just do it next week 👍

I was med/hard/hard but rear camber on default is too much and cost me

damn it, another thing i forgot. i was running priano's tune, and he has a lot of camber on the rear. aarrgghh. right thats it, im getting ready for manze next week. anyway, im going bed, bit tired after that race (and got a sore bum :P). night all!

 We should have a better field for Monza next week, I enjoyed tonight despite my poor finish.

The Chap will get absolutely destroyed at Monza

Yeah, tonight was good fun. Nice racing gents 👍

Sorry guys but I cannot make it next sunday, but I will be there the week after.

Good luck in Monza.

Didn't know the Chromeline Jaguar was allowed, I would have thought it offers an unfair performance hike.

It can;t run its extra parts. Apparently the Chrome Line is a little faster but slightly worse on tyres than the main Jaguar.

But doesn't it have about 30 more bhp and torques? And weigh 25kg fewer?

If that's so, it's more powerful than the Ford (530bhp). :embarrassed:

@Andy- it's the cars you got with a code if you pre-ordered I believe. 👍

Facebook quiz for DLC codes, no joke.

@Marunda yes it is, but difference is not too noticable.

Thats a lot of difference in power than :scared:

Have you tested the cars back to back?

Cant still get it can you?

Strawman, before you start complaining about something... these cars have run for a long time and the Jag Chrome Line is NOT significantly quicker... it was not champion in S1 either.

So there's no need for the jibes. In fact the Chrome Line whilst being marginally quicker is worse on tyres.

Jesus can't even ask a question before being judged 👎

Thats what I took offense to. Does sound very sarcastic and like your complaining, if it's not intended to sound as such.

No that was a question asking if you could still get the car. I.E. how could I still get the chrome Jag. It wasn't aimed at you, but a question asking how to get that car. I would like that Jag because I don't have it and would like to know if it was a) Possible to get it and B) how to get it.

Ahh well sorry, it sounded like you were commenting about me, sorry.

Would like to point out, Joe did one less stop than me and was a lot faster on the straights. I think a test could be a good idea, I'm guessing the chrome must be worse through the corners?

I'll give you the performance figures from the regular and chromeline Jags, set up for this series and with full downforce (no supercharger/turbos on either, and no manifold parts on the chromeline). Both cars have their engine fully worn in.

Normal: 536bhp, 56.5kgfm peak torque, 998kg, 610pp
Chromeline: 548bhp, 57.7kgfm peak torque, 975kg, 609pp

The chromeline has 12bhp more, 1.2kgfm more peak torque, and weighs 23kg less, BUT has 1 less pp.

Deleted - nvm

Furi's choice at the end of the day

EDIT: removed since you've edited you post, I suppose you misread something.

The fact that it has 1pp less despite the slightly better power and weight figures suggests that it handles worse than the normal Jag (probably these: easier to create wheelspin, easier to create power oversteer, worse tyre wear).

Nope, no mistakes. The regular Jag has 536bhp and the chromeline has 548bhp (12bhp more)

Yeah I know - misread, thought it was 566/548 :dunce:

I think the PP is less because the weight is less, like in the X2011 if you add weight you gain PP and if you decrease power you get more PP too. Its basically saying that by losing weight you've lost some traction and corner grip from the weight being removed but it doesnt work like that, just the PP system isnt correct in understanding that losing weight with a car that produces downforce will not have decrease the cars cornering speed - but more likely to increase it

If I put the weight up to match the normal Jag, the pp drops to 607.

EDIT: decreasing the power also makes the pp decrease further.
