I'd like to whack a free demo gt on a disk (downloaded off internet, not piracy as it's free right?) and play in ps2, but is that safe? really don't want to damage ps2, but i'll test in old one first.

if so, what are the highest content (happy to port cars/tracks from hidden locations to used ones, i'll backup incase of wreckage) and where to download?

by the way they don't have to be gt3 demos either.

- Demos can be downloaded, it's not piracy
- You won't damage you PS2 (It's best to use DVD-R recorded at 4X or lower)
- You can port cars/courses and make your own music

It's best to get original GT3 and Concept 2002 but they are NOT free.

Update: Try to get NTSC version because PAL doesn't have lots of stuff.

Hey, Markuza when will you re-upload those codes for GT4, because 'daan' wiped them all out. And make sure their on the GT4 Research thread.

This might have been covered already but in the Beginner League, the background of the Sunday Cup shows an Acura Integra with Race Mods.

I took a snapshot from GTRufus's GT3 gameplay video:

Standard as in the thick PS2's?
Standard as in any PS2 with no extra funny stuff if you know what I mean.

Yes I've been lurking around here and I can say my mind is blown at all the secret stuff I could find in my childhood game GT3.

no way to trick the ps2 that it's real? no way to sign it? how does the ps2 tell if it's real?

edit: I miiiight get something for my ps2, not a modchip but similar (can i mention its name here? it's not piracy itself, it's not just for illegal burns but other region disks, burnt free games and homemade games, which are legal, just like a dvd recorder can be used for illegal purposes but has legal ones too.) i do have two ps2s after all, one is a little buggy in reading disks.

also, there is a way to legally emulate. can i speak of it?

Presumably the PS2 authenticates the disc on boot, and if authentication fails, it won't boot. I'm betting legit discs have some kind of signature that the system looks for. If you want to play a non-legit disc, you'll have to resort to hacking.

^thats what i was talking about, the program itself is not illegal, it's only if you pirate the bios.

also it's not a modchip i was referring to but an alternative.

We can probably talk about this program then we just can't go to much into detail about the piracy side as you said. 'Only if you pirate the bios.'
