Well, it shows how active you are on GTP. (seriously, I don't know! Its an addictive thing you know..... but people like *McLaren*, Famine and M5Power inspire me to post more here.)

It doesn't show how active your are on GTP. It shows how much you post. Some people are constantly reading the boards, yet post very little.

And you shouldn't be aiming for a figure to acheive, you spam too much as it is.

Go for quality, not quantity. I'm sure everyone appreciates more the person who makes one good quality post per day, than the idiot with 9 pointless posts. With the loss of the Quality Posts badge, there is now no way to signify a quality poster, but the post count and posts-per-day can point out a spammer.

And I hope the people you mentioned above inspire you to post considered, quality posts - not just posting for the numbers.

Well of course they inspire me to make quality post. Thats why I didn't include Mista X and Danny as an example. But most of them are never spam to begin with. I just happened to be involve in so many activities around this forum. Usually I would post in the GT4 gallery and Photomode Comp, Formula 1, the Photoshopped cars thread, the Wallpaper thread and the DYSAGT thread (and also was in the Long Race Series thread during the GTP Clio cup season) but some of them are spam so just ignore that part.

I don't really have any quality posts to prove to anyone, but at least I made an effort to voice out my opinion (which is very hard to do) even if most of the time being ignored by others.... Don't say I just spam a lot around here, each post that I made does have a significant contribution to GTP. If all my post were spam, then wouldn't it be deleted? Point proven.....

My average is climbing constantly, because I do average closer to 15 posts a day, probably. It varies a bit depending on how much I'm at home or have had to drink, like tonight.

But if you had been around, say, two years ago, you'd not even notice I existed because I wasn't active at all.

now my PPD is about 4.31 at about 7000 posts total. It did creep upto about 5.4 a while back but i havnt posted a lot in the last 6mths so its dropped a fair bit.

Mine are down to 14.10 posts a day, it's gone down a bit. I'd say I'm averaging about 6 a day at the moment and have been for some time. But back in the day I was logged in during work and posted more often as a result. And so Famine is closing in on that highest poster spot.

Was down to 3.29.. Now with GT5 out its risen to 3.32!!

Seems I can just never stay consistently active in my posting over 8yrs....
I would say I visit GTP pretty much daily, just dont always post.

I Got bored so i did some calculations.

Mar 12, 2003 i joined.

Dec 11 2003 i had 797 posts with a ppd of 2.91

Feb 13 2005 i had 2453 posts with a ppd of 3.49, or 3.8 from Dec 11 2003 - Feb 13 2005

Oct 10th 2005 i have 4710 posts with a ppd of 5.00 or 9.4 from Feb 13 2005 - Oct 10th 2005.

Results. My real post per day is now close to 10 and im at my most active ive been @ GTP.

I`m a long time lurker, since the GT4 days. Only registered at the beginning of March this year. 105 posts in 9 months. 0.35 Average posts per day . I`m on GTP almost all the time. When I`m not playing GT, I`m talking/reading about it, or Bob is having a go .

I suppose thats the advantage of having such a great and varied community 👍, everything has already been said, twice, so I usually just keep quiet and nod and agree .
