I have an STI with a turbo back exhaust from Cobb. I'd include a video clip but it sounds like every Subaru on the road with an aftermarket exhaust. Lol

My 1986 trans am just sitting in the driveway, crappy sound from my phone but you can still hear that rough idle.

1997 Chevy S10 4.3L V6
Besides the muffler, the only changes in the exhaust were a 2" y-pipe and 2.5" tailpipe

Flowmaster

Yeah, flows shouldn't be on anything other than a V8. Heck, they don't even sound that great on some V8s.
I dunno, the one I have sounds pretty good on my S-10 Blazer with the same V6:

It sounds really good from the interior, but I can't upload that video right now because data limits suck.

:/

Honestly, I've heard all of one 4cyl with a Flow on it... Sounded like half a V8

That's because they are half a V8. :P

Finally made a video with some light revving. I like how youtube said it was shaky, unless they say that an all the vids :dopey:
Sounds so much better in person

That GTR's a beauty. Ugh, It's only been about 2 months of not driving the Vette and I'm having crazy withdrawals. Gotta move somewhere that lacks snow.....

I don't know how you do two months! I did a week and a half and I wanted to drive mine badly. Thank God for California weather. :D

Only video I have now after the supercharger was installed, not very good quality. And the video doesn't do the cutouts open justice, sounds much better in person.

Before the supercharger, when I had CAI only. Same axelbacks are on the car now, sounds like this when the cutouts are closed minus the lope.

This isn't mine but it sounds really similar, if anything it's got a bit more lope and deeper sound. Obviously my performance is a lot better but it's still awesome.

-snip-

How did I know you were going to have a badass exhaust. You are my favorite person.

Well like I said neither video is mine but they both sound pretty much identical, the first one being even closer. Haha I feel special XD 👍

EDIT: Excuse the fact this is a burnout by a van, I posted this here for the exhuast sound. OMG. Love it.

Whats the exhaust setup on what im guessing is your f250?

This is the F250 we have. Totally different than the one in the video I posted, just the sound is similar.

Yes it needs work and I have everything in the garage ready to go and strip it to the frame for a third time.

It runs two 2 1/4" pipes down off ported stock manifolds then the drivers side cuts over to the passengers side (doesn't connect, had to cross over because transfer case was in the way) then runs out to just before the rear axle side by side. It's got Walker cats and Mufflers tho cause the straight 6 it had had them on it.

Oh wow having cats sucks. I never could see the point of them on a carbed motor.

I forgot to add that the cats have been gutted lol. But yeah I agree. But the state says it won't pass unless we have them. Basically the law is any vehicle '96 and older are emissions exempt but if they originally came with mufflers/cats or other emissions stuff it has to be installed. It only had the pipe work done to it and nothing else is on it. Come the end of the year they will be off it when I get my license to inspect. =P

Yea its like that here too although I'm not putting cats on just to get burnt up so I'll have a friend do the inspection. It'll sound nicer without those cats too the difference is pretty big really .

Yeah that's true. I've ran with it without anything before and man that **** was loud.

Oh yea I'll bet. Open headers will set off car alarms  I'll be sure to post another video when I do my exhaust of some open header fun.

Been there done that lol. Won't ever do it again XD. Well maybe once we build up that 460 he wants lol

Different engine but again sounds really similar. Most old Fords did.

Bringing back this thread from the dead since I've done a few things to the Vette.

Now rocking Z06 LS7 manifolds, high flow cats, 3 inch piping instead of 2.5 and SLP loudmouth mufflers!

Here is a decent video of my exhaust.
Invidia N1 Race(3in) Catback with a custom Catless Downpipe.

I want to make a fly by video just hard to find a spot I feel "Safe" doing it.

Random little video I made to show how the ride sound quality is for a daily commute.

@ND4SPD, how much of a gain in power do you get from swapping the base C6 manifolds to LS7 manifolds?

@WrxScooby, I love the sound of your WRX. Although I have quite some time before I have to make a decision, I'm debating between purchasing a WRX/ WRX STI or Evo VIII/IX/X. This will be uncharted territory for me because I've never owned a turbo and awd vehicle.

Some guys on a Focus forum were asking me for another video of my exhaust so I figured I'd put it up here too.

I didn't get it dyno tuned after since I'm saving that for the cam install, but on the Corvette forums LS2 car's were seeing a 20-30rwhp gain on the dyno with these combined with the LS7's higher flow cats. Quite a surprisingly cheap performance gain and the sound......

Here's a dyno of a before and after on an LS2 rocking the same setup as I am.
