Your Car's Exhaust

Here's mine, finally. The mic wasn't too good and the camera was a little too close so it came out sounding a little farty. But you can hear the supercharger around the 12 second mark.

Cherry Bombs are overrated. I can make an engine 3 times louder without those. They don't sound that great anyway.

I'm not looking for a loud exhaust (until I save up for FlowMasters :sly: ), just something..that goes good with the theme. :)

Just run straight pipes. Sounds a lot better than Flowmasters in my opinion. I have run a set of Flowmasters, Thrush, Walker and straight on the truck in my driveway and straight sounds the best I think. However, depending on where you live, this may or may not be legal. Anything 1996 and before is legal to be straight piped unless you live in California. I'll see if I can rip the recording off my crappy phone of ours running with Walkers on it. It sounds pretty bad because of my phone but you get the idea. Any rattling you hear at the end is me eating dry corn pops out side on my back porch steps while it was running  The carb kind of overruns it though in when it was revved....you can hear it scream XD. The recording I'll show you guys was before we replaced the starter and flexplate, so we had to hand crank it over to miss the stripped teeth. Rough start, rev rev rev, near stall, rev rev reeeeevvvvv a lot then idle for a minute. Not sure when I'll get it up.

Actually I would have to figure that MN isn't the only state that says if your car came with a cat converter it "must" keep one. But if it didn't have one then its ok. I would just check your local laws Camaroyenko

1997 Chevy S10 4.3L V6
Besides the muffler, the only changes in the exhaust were a 2" y-pipe and 2.5" tailpipe

Flowmaster

Then changed to Magnaflow for a more mellow sound

Honestly, I've heard all of one 4cyl with a Flow on it... Sounded like half a V8, wasn't a bad sound really. It's just something about how the pulses hit it with a 6cyl, it just doesn't sound right.

Okay... looking at most of those, my car is going to sound like a ricer in comparison >.>"

The camera doesn't really do any justice... it does sound a lot better in person. Trust me.

Well since I was warming up the Vette and dusting it down I thought I'd finally make an exhaust video of the thing. Just some mid rpm blips.... Hate canadian winters haha.

Man I wish I could use the camera to get a good recording of my pickup

Not a video of my exhaust, but it's in there. Sounds pretty good at low rpms but becomes kinda raspy at high rpms. Has a lot more "gnarly" in real life but sounds pretty much the same as the video.

ive been just starting mine up every few days and letting it idle as i havent been driving much in the cold these last few weeks

just took this quick start up

That GTR's a beauty. Ugh, It's only been about 2 months of not driving the Vette and I'm having crazy withdrawals. Gotta move somewhere that lacks snow.....

I've been waiting to hear Bruiser's purr for quite some time. It's quite amazing actually - Dat Cobra exhaust.

Oh, and I can kind of see you in the bumper ;)
