I love the sound of my 69 Camaro. 40 series Flowmasters custom exhaust I built myself designed after a Lamborghini Murcielago. 2 1/2" before the mufflers then 3" after the mufflers. Could be a little louder but I like it for sure.
This is a pretty good one of me chasing down a brand new EVO. http://www.adfabdesign.com/RaceEvents/Grattan_7-26-08/Grattan_7-26-08_Videos/Joe-lap10-evo-pass.wmv
You can see and hear 31 videos of it from my Grattan 7/26/08 event. The Joe and Aaron ones are the best. http://www.adfabdesign.com/RaceEvents/Grattan_7-26-08/Grattan-7-26-08-videos.html
On the other hand I dont like the way Heathers 67 Fastback mustang sounds at all. Its a 200 straight 6 with no muffler so it sounds like a tractor. We will hopefully be dropping in a V8 302 next year.
It'd be nearly pointless to post a video of my neon's exhaust but I could always attempt to record the mustang's exhaust...
Well here are the new cherry bombs! Video doesn't do it much justice though, it's much louder in real life.
I'll play...
My 1990 300zx
VG30DE (3.0L V6 NA)
My 1993 Twin Turbo 300zx has a busted piston rod
Well here's the mustang's exhaust note... the sound quality isn't the greatest though.
QUESTION
Should I even bother recording the exhaust of my minivan?
Your Z has some nice grip or were you not trying to power slide?
I demand a flyby!
I love being demanding.
Very nice!
I think we can safely assume that even though your car shifted into 3rd gear, that no speed limits were possibly doubled, right?
I should do another vid of my car similar to that...Just need to find a place to do it.
Here's a proper fly by video of the P71. With a better engine rev at the end of the video.
Yummy! Thx.
Nice sound, though I might add there's a language warning in the vid
not my car but I have a VR6 with a full 2.5" SS Techtonics exhaust w/ Borla muffler and high flow cat.
Okay This is my exhaust no without the stupid presilencers
Oh and I got a little $20 decibel meter and apparently at Idle fro like 5 inches away from the exhaust is 108.5 Db
Can anybody suggest a good method of capturing exhaust note on video? I dont really like the typical "put the camera on the ground and rev" way as it doesnt really give a good idea of what it actually sounds like. All engines sound different under load. The typical drive-by's are boring and requires editing.
Any suggestions? Before i go tape a cam to the back of my car again and drive around? (dangerous, i dont wanna rise breaking a camera)
If you want to get a good video of the exhaust note showing how it sounds from the low to the high RPM's, try to get 2 friends to video tape your car from their car.Can anybody suggest a good method of capturing exhaust note on video? A friend & I have done this for another friend's M3 when he was breaking in his new mods, and it's a fantastic way to capture the car up close under load. We did about 3 or 4 different shots with both cars running next to each other & one with the M3 doing a fly-by.
Very easy task wise as long as your car doesn't leave the camera car in the dust, & the camera isn't stuck out the window as well as being a camera, not a phone.
The only difficult task is just getting 2 people to do it. You can't do it with 1 because he has to concentrate on the road as well, so it's easy for them to keep the camera off your car & shaky; might as well have done it yourself.
I don't know if there's even a link to begin with.1. A good idea! 💡
2. Care to share a link to said M3 vids?
