Your fastest speed

Hope it's OK to post this here. It's the top speed of my fastest cars. When a car has a listed down force, DF, I set it to minimum and list the amount. I added DF aero on some cars at GT Auto. All cars have maximum HP tune available. All times with no draft at Sarthe. Speed first in MPH. RC is race car.

I'm collecting the top speeds posted in this thread to list them for a leaderboard,
this will take some time. I'm going to form two lists of top speeds. One for speeds posted in Km/h and one for MPH.

I did 262 mph in my Academy GT-R running down those kiddies in Veyrons at Daytona. Slipstream/Drafting FTW?
 
That gets me thinking. What if we had Speed Record teams to try to post absolute landspeed records in GT5 via drafting?

Damn it, I didn't think about this before, but now that we're doing abstract ideas like this that really have nothing to do with racing as Gran Turismo really knows it, they SHOULD have kept the old Test Track!
 
I've got my enzo to 252mph. Probably could get it to 260 in a draft.

I've also got 302mph out of my x1 without drafting.

If your planning on making a list why not divide it between cars that didn't use drafting and those that did. Could show the increase differences between running solo and behind someone.
 
At the moment 454 km/h (282 mph) without drafting ..

... and it isn't a X1 (i haven't it) or a Veyron (273mph) !

Great idea with a proper verifiable list involving pics or video. It would be cool if the community could get together and agree on one specific section of track to do this, then post their results. I like the way Juice did it with no drafting. Circuit De La Sarthe/no chicane seems the best spot.
 
265mph in a Minolta no drafting on le sarthe no chicanes. It only did it once though :(

310mph in colour X2010 when drafting.

I've hit 489 in my Carbon.
 
Oh, I had a good experience with my Cadillac Cien today. I recently painted it York Green (Disgusting green :)) and tuned it up. The York Green was to make it less appealing and therefore give more of a sleeper look.

Anyway, I managed to hit 455 km/h before I passed 1st place. I really think 470 may be possible in it.
