I got this today but yesterday evening I was downloading BF3 on Origin and getting over 8 MB/s at some points.

the server may the in Amsterdam but is hosted by Ookla and seems to give better results than closer servers.

No it doesn't. It says you're 100 miles away from Frederick, MD, which looking at your IP address, I'd completely agree with.
Why would it randomly start going off that one? It only started doing that after my IP changed randomly.

We pay a lot of money for this, hopefully, in about a month or two, we'll change our ISP with higher speed at lower costs (Symetric 20mb/s for about the same price we're paying right now)

Still waiting on the speed upgrade, which should increase the download to around 160Mb/s, but hopefully the upload will get a nice boost, I think it's ratio is a bit low. Ping times seem to have increased over the months, used to be between 4-8ms, but nearly everyone on my street is running on the same service now so that might be having an effect.

Ok ok. What do you want in exchange for that?
With that sort of speed you could download a AAA title from steam in 8 seconds. Or upload a half hour 1080p youtube video (after handbrake) in 2. Or the same video pre handbrake in a minute.

Living out in the country sucks because there's only one internet provider :grumpy: We wanted to get Fios but they don't offer it in our area -_-

My internet is so bad, on my PS3 it says my download speed is 1.7MBPS and my upload speed is within the 600KBPS range.
