My home connection to all the way to Tacoma WA., not as bad as I thought.

And for a server closest to me. Upload is a little quicker and download is a little slower, but significantly reduced ping.

And trying a server Milton Keynes, very nearly the same as a server close to me, but the ping is quite a bit less than going to Washington. And the distance to Milton Keynes is over twice as much.

So the past few weeks we were having some trouble with the router and could get about 45-55mb/s download and 15mb/s upload. Today a new router came in the mail.

I live about 5 miles down the road from my parents and the best internet they can get is right at 3mb/s.

I don't know what to think about my connection, maybe something is obvious

My provider said that this should work for gaming but my PS3 will freeze up in GT6 and it can't ever work very good when there is a full house in the lobby w/ 16 players. I turn invisible to the others and then it screen locks....... Very frustrating. It's a wireless signal

@TB Is hard wiring a cat5/6 cable from the router to the PS3?

I talked to my ISP and they said that I shouldn't go cat5 from the modum to the PS3 but leave the router involved. They are going to try some trickery to see if they can improve my packet handling issues since I think that is one of my problems. I'm on wireless line of site to the node/repeater/transmiter.

These last two replies made me laugh and cry at the same time :(.

My work connection. At home I think its about 20-25dl/6-8ul.

Quite alright speed. 👍
From your phone as well! Impressive. Correct me if I'm wrong but are phones able to reach the same speeds as a computer? I know mine certainly doesn't nor my playstation.

My phone's about 20 Mbit/s slower than my computer, but it's not the newest model out on the market, so some phones might be even faster. :)

From my phone at work this morning. :D
Will update later my home connection which is normally around 5-6 M/bps. :(

Edit: And my average at best home connection.

Current work broadband. They line up with the average BT speeds in this area, so far from spectacular.

My connection used to be better before the stupid DLM settings BT Wholesale use. It cuts really small bits of my connection speed during power cuts ect and is supposed to give it back when the line is more stable but it never does.

NOTE: used the Amsterdam server on purpose seems to give better results than local servers
