Land - ~260kms in an Audi RS6
Sea - .....40 knots? Is that even a thing?
Air - not sure, but it was a 777 and quite fast

Land: 166-170 mph (Brother's Viper)
Sea: Not more than 30 kts
Air: 567mph (flight with a slight tailwind)

Land: 120-125mph (193-201kmh) - Either in a Peugeot 406 (2003) or Merc SLK320 (2014)
Sea: 25 knots (29mph/40kmh) - MS Rodin (2004)
Air: 460 knots (528mph/850kmh) - Boeing 757-200 (2002)

Land: 160mph, 2010-ish Challenger R/T with slight mods. 100-120mph is about the average "fast" speed I go though
Water: Like 45-50mph. No idea really
Air: I will never fly

Damn you, Final Destination.

Ay ay ay! That movie kept me off the interstate for about a month after seeing it!

Land: a couple personal records...on a bicycle - ~60mph (very long downhill grade) I passed a Cadillac doing 55!
In a car - ~160mph in a '69 Camaro race car
Air - 737 cruise speed...like 500 mph or so
water - no record

Very interesting idea for a thread. I'm sure local police departments appreciate it ;D

Land: 125 mph (2013).
I was at a Porsche event driving the '14 Panamera Turbo at Atlanta Motorsports Park. On the main straight the lead car was pacing us at about 95 mph at most, but I was in the back and gave myself more room to go. That thing was crazy. Never been faster on the street because there aren't many places to do that kind of crap around here. A friend of mine, on the other hand... back when he had his Yamaha R1 he hit 185 mph.

Air: At most .84 mach, which converts to 644 mph, in a Boeing 777-200 (2008). That's according to Boeing's technical information they have posted.

Water: Probably ~23 knots (2004). Voyager of the Seas.

Water: 6 km/h 3.7 mp/h back swimming.
Backstoke? My best is 4.9 mph average over 25m (front crawl) without flippers or paddles.

Land: ~120mph a few times in a Jaguar XKR, VW Scirocco and Audi TT.

Air: Only flew once in a De Havilland Dragon Rapide. ~130mph.

Water: ~20 Knots on a cross channel ferry.

Elementary back stroke. I'm a very athletic and a weight lifter but strangely as hydrodynamic and floatable as a brick. I hate swimming.

Not normal for backstroke to be someone's fastest stroke. Weight lifting and swimming don't go together well, I'm a swimmer so I'm rubbish at weight lifting.

Land- 112 mph (180.208 km/h) in my 1999 Mercury Sable (limited, but the car was out of power anyways)
Water- 30 mph (48.27 km/h) on a raft that ties to the back of a boat
Air- no way in hell I get into a glorified aluminum can with wings

Land: 275 kph in a Panamera.

Water: Not really sure but was on a sort of speed boat in the Caribeen ~90 kph

Air: 950 kph in an Airbus A321 to Cape Verde

Land: 130mph in a GT-R, GT Academy cira 2010
Sea: Haven't been on a boat in a while, not sure (standard fishing boat speed?)
Air: What's a commercial airliner fly at?

160 riding in an '03 Cobra, 140 driving a JCW Mini Cooper
I think riding on an innertube behind a skiboat as it slings to the outside is my record for water, but no idea on the actual speed.
I got to ride in a stuntplane once, though again I have no idea what our highest airpseed was. I've been on passenger jets but I'm not going to count that.

Air: I will never fly

On the continent you live in you're missing out by avoiding air travel. It ain't no thang, just like taking a train but with more expense (in most cases).

As for land speed, my original post here was for the bullet train in China that racked up a few hundred kph, but in the road I've had 140mph on a FZS600 (Yamaha Fazer) and just over 150mph on a Honda Firestorm 1000. Neither of which were my bikes :D .

I know here in the US you are more likely to die in a train crash than a plane crash :P
And while I have yet to leave the US, I do hope to visit Japan and the EU someday. Can't be stuck in the US for ever ;)
Also I am still waiting for some ex-fighter pilot or passenger from the Concord to say something here. :sly:

Land: 172mph (GPS verified) Porsche 996
Water: 60knts Honda off shore power boat
Air: Whatever a commercial airliner does

Boat by far the most uncomfortable, car the most exciting.

I'd say that stealing bikes would be included in this. :P

When you have a best friend who is a bike dealer/ technician who lends you a bike on a weekly basis there is nothing illegal about it. Fully insured, legitimate ride.

I owe most of my bike experience to this guy, we shared bikes all the time, all of them bought, nothing stollen.

I might not care about the law where I live now but in Britain that sort of thing has to be legit.
