Just curious what everyone's most liked and disliked song(s) is/are now that the game has been out for 3 years, and we've all listened to the soundtrack over and over. For me I have two that I really dislike.

First being that Rosalia song. ...That song is just all-around annoying beeping sound.

The second song being that very annoying song from Lenny Ibizarre. I don't remember the name of it exactly, but it sounds like horse racing music. Way too cheesy. I like cheese, but not that much.

For most liked shout out goes to Good Old Days (Classix Remix), Malkovich Ya, and Moloko's Time Is Changing. They all make me feel happier. :)

^ I feel it's very underrated on GT7, surprised people don't talk about it. Something 'new' for the series as well.

Don't think I hate any, at least that I can name, but having the same few (very few) GT5 songs playing on broadcast mode gets insanely repetitive.

For race music I've turned off Bizcochito, Let's Go!, SQUAD, and Unstoppable.

The best are 5OUL ON D!SPLAY, All my life, Break Down, Day To Live, EDGE OF THE WORLD, It's All About You, Looking for you, Place in this world, Shadows of Our Past, sky high mountain breeze, Soul Surfer, SURV1V3 and What to Believe. I could just have those daiki kasho songs on and never get tired of them, even after all these years.

Bring back Feeder and Jimmy Eat World while we're at it.

Any Day by Isola ->

Take You Higher by Leisure ->

VROOM by The Fanatix, Idris Elba, etc. ->

As for ones that I hate, I check them off in the options and I don't remember what they are. I simply remember that they annoyed me and I excluded them.

Same here ! While racing I want to hear my engine, tyres screetching and other audio clues.

In menus, the music switch each time you change place, which is very dumb and annoying.

Exactly this.

In long races with cars I'm inclined to run in automatic, if I ever turn music on, it's a Spotify playlist, partially because I get to choose music specific to my taste but also because the song doesn't suddenly change when I finish the race, change again when I back out to the map, change again when I quickly move on to the next race.

Those unnecessary changes would make me turn music off on their own, even if I didn't want to be able to hear race noises while racing.

Just let the song start and finish, PD. It's not that hard!

People who turn off even the menu music are honestly weird to me. Race music I can easily understand (I do the same. I just leave the music on for the replays), but the menus as well? Yeah, it's really weird. =/

Anyway... the only song I dislike is Vroom, for reasons I've already stated in the past. Everything else is either really awesome or decent at best.

It is written in two posts above yours : the fact that song gets cutted the instant you change menu, and there are a lot of changes with this clunky UI.
Which is... how previous games did it? That's also another weird part about this. As far as I know, only Sport (and 6? Not sure) didn't change the music when switching menus.

Sport still has the best menu soundtrack imo. Sure, previous games had some bangers here and there, but there wasn't one single song I didn't like in Sport.

Edit: as for GT6 it did change songs too, just not nearly as often as GT7. GT6 changed music when going to your garage, when you bought a car, when you finished choosing a visual tuning option in GT Auto. I prefer GT6's way the most, it still changed under certain occasions, but didn't do it every single time you switched menus.

Liked: Relax Musics. Too bad we can't add these to the in-race playlist, I used to race to Jazz and relaxed piano musics in GT5/GT6.

Disliked: Nervous stuff.

Really Like: Listening with my Spotify Instrumental Smooth Jazz liked music library. Nothing like some good Paul Hardcastle and etc of the sort.

I always have race music turned off and only listen to music in replays and in menus, though in GT7 I have music in general turned off because there is no song I like enough to even tolerate it. Its crazy how awful the music is.

Most disliked song is Amigo - Lous and the Yakuza - which plays in the dealership. Its so annoying and the exact opposite of what I like in music that its almost impressive. Made me want to vomit every time it started playing.

As for my favorite track, that's hard - I guess Lenny Ibizarre - Dusk to Dawn is ok.

If I had to take a pick for my favorite GT song of all the time it would be Ulrich Schnauss - A million miles away. Listening to this track while watching a Nordschleife hotlap replay was magic back in he day.

Agree with you. Not my style of music at all. I will I could have my own

I had no idea "Island Sunrise" was from 1988, I thought it was a vapourwave song from the past 10 years that Kaz randomly discovered. Whenever it comes on in the main menu I just leave it on for a few minutes, it's perfect for unwinding after a messy Sport Mode race.

As for my least favourite song, I think it's "Drift" by Jawsh865. It's music for broccoli-haired tossers who get pump-and-dumped and are on a dating blacklist in a university WhatsApp group.

I found out about 3 months ago Apple Music could be linked to my PS5. The soundtrack, as it came, has been dead to me since. I found as much of my favorite songs from past GTs as possible plus some of my personal favorites so now I listen to the greatest GT soundtrack of all time! I just wish Apple Music/Spotify was fully integrated so it would switch track as it would if I wasn't listening to another app.

To answer the question: Except for Idris' Verse Vroom is easily the weakest song on the soundtrack. I also think it has what very well be the worst rap line in music history.

That reminds me, GT5 allowed you to use music stored on your PS3. My 16-year-old self loved blaring out the likes of Scooter's "Ramp! (The Logical Song)" while
speeding along SSR7 or custom "touge" tracks in Toscana.

A bit of digging tells me that feature had to be taken out of GT6 because Microsoft patented the ability to play your own music from your console. 👎

I want to know who the judge was that passed the ruling on that patent, because that has to be one of the worst features to want to monopolize out of all of them.

Especially seeing that they are now practically bowing out of the console business. That bureaucratic BS doesn't float in the gaming industry.

It wasn't cut from GT6, you can still play custom music (race and menu) there in that game too. It was cut from the PS4 console instead... I always assumed it was because Sony was too cheap to renew licenses for the codecs with the PS4.

The problem with music in GT7 is that I never hear any of it because I've always turned off my race BGM. I haven't used race BGM for over 20 years. In GTS this wasn't a problem because the music was constantly on rotation regardless of menu and I loved that aspect. I realize my foundation games, GT2, 3, and 4 all had specific menu songs but part of why it worked was that menus took so long to load that you'd spend plenty of time there, and of course the music just became classic over time and I loved listening to it.

I think in this day and age the menu-specific music doesn't work anymore and we need a constant rotation like GTS. Of if they insist on menu music, remix the classics like they did for GT4. Spyro Reignited is proof that remixed classics can still be spectacular songs.

Bring back the fully customizable soundtrack. Being able to make some of the race music the menu music was literally game changing for me in GT5/6. I remember playing GT5(iirc) and I was admiring my car and Keyring by Sunchase came on while the car rotating, I thought, "This is the way the game should sound."

Man I miss 5 and 6's soundtrack.

I too mute all music in the game (I hate that it changes on every screen).

Fun fact, I also drive in silence in real life. Didn’t realise it was weird until I drove with a friend for the first time and they asked if my stereo was broken.
