I'll choose to exclude the songs carried over from previous games, because let's face it the majority of them are far better than the few new tracks in GT7. :P

But as for the menu soundtrack, I genuinely adore Island Sunrise. There couldn't possibly have been a better fit for the main menu's resort vibe, and it's pure bliss scrolling through obscure settings screens as the song hits its peak.

For the race soundtrack, even though I think almost all of the newly added songs are a heap of garbage, I can't help but love Feels Right. It captures the feeling of GT5 and Sport's race soundtracks almost perfectly - just too bad Spotify only has the cut-down radio edit...

I don't listen to the race BGM because I'd rather listen to the car I'm driving instead of something stupid like "VROOM" by half a dozen people who I haven't even heard of and some actor who plays Knuckles in the Sonic movies. My god that song is ****. I tell you what isn't though: Strike Breaker by Daiki Kasho. Shame it only plays in the replay.

Tbf Idris Elba is a great actor imo, he was amazing as Stringer Bell in The Wire. That „Vroom“ song still sucks ass though. That Daiki Kasho song is cool, that‘s true.

+1 for the "no music at all"

At some point I looked up Lemaitre "Stepping Stone" & King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.
("Stepping stone" made it to my liked songs list in spotify :D)

Least favorite: That one song that plays in the cone missions. Especially when you miss one and have to restart just to hear BEEP BEEP BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP.

Favorite: Aside from the obligatory Daiki Kasho songs and returning menu music, of the new songs I think it's a toss up between Feels Right and Aspect. Feels Right has major GT5 vibes.

Honorable mentions: The Claude Debussy pieces in the garage. Especially Clair De Lune. A very beautiful rendition. (Yes I know it's ported from GT4's Slideshow mode).

Dishonorable mentions: The fact that PD chose to restrict the awesome GT3 Daiki Kasho songs to replays. Why even include them if we can't listen to them while racing, aka the entire focus of GT7??

This is partially because I'm getting old, but I feel like there's no iconic songs in the racing BGM like in previous games. OK, you have "VROOM", but that's more to do it with its marmite quality. Daiki Kasho doesn't really count if PD have to dig out his greatest hits from GT3. Sure, there's Masahiro Ando, but he's more of a hidden gem compared to Feeder or Kaiser Chiefs.

How much do i like GT7 music?

So much that i have to turn it off completely! :D

Turning off music during racing is of course a given. How could you not?

Turning off menu music was a choice because starting a new song every few seconds because changing the menu is just very, very stupid.
How do I turn the music off everywhere?

Good question... have no access to GT until the weekend. I guess in the options menu where you also can adjust the loudness of the different sound like tire squeal and so on. There is a bunch of sound options in that menu.

I prefer a more balanced approach with racing music. I set the music to 5 and the engine to 10, so I can hear both, with a slight preference for the engine and tire sounds.

I wasn't a huge fan of the always changing (? IIRC) music in menus anyway and completely turned it off when PD decided to add Christmas tunes.(again, IIRC, it was a long time ago, correct me if I'm wrong).

So to answer OP's question: I don't have any favorite tracks, nor ones I particularly dislike. I only hear them when I choose to watch music replays and that happens rather rarely. If I do, I just try to find a track that fits the mood of the race.

I’d like to make a correction. Its is not VROOM with the worst rap lyric of all time. Its the song Squad by Disciples and GoldLink. If you're wondering what the line was:

"Pants to tight that my legs sore"

I... HATE... that song. I recently turned my menu music back to OFF, and that track was what pushed me over the edge. Awful music with awful lyrics. The depth of a tea spoon.
