Your three biggest fears.

Gravity suddenly disappearing
Becoming a failure in life
Nothing happening when you die (Sleeping forever)

Dying - I just don't was this to happen, I can wait a long time for this to happen...

Being in the bathroom with the light off - I've read too many of those stupid Bloody Mary things...

Being Alone at night - It's just too scary.

More of my fears.

Thunderstorms - I have my ears covered all the time. I've learned to do a lot of things without hands because of this fear. It's just annoying, one second you're just doing your normal stuff, then you hear this BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABOOOOOOOOM.

Can't quite narrow it down to 3 specific fears, but there is one thing that always creeps me out when I think about it. If I start to think about death, and how you'll be gone forever after that, and how you'll never exist again after that. Never fails to scare the crap out of me. :dunce:

One of my biggest fears is living in Australia and knowing that a spider the size of your head could be waiting around the corner at any moment .

Pretty much most insects larger than my thumb are scary.

This doesn't scare me but instead makes me feel sad. I don't know why but it's just depressing to think about.

  1. Politicians and fanatical political people - They're all nuts and have no idea what they're doing most of the time.
  2. Losing money - I can't picture a quality life without money.
  3. Water - I can't swim at all nor do I ever want to learn.

** I'm pretty afraid of heights too, but I prevent that by not going to high places.

I don't understand why you dot want to learn to swim. Swimming is a huge part of my life because I live in Michigan. We have lakes everywhere.

I live in Michigan too and I just have no interest in learning to swim. I'm perfectly content with staying dry. I do go on boats though, I just wear a life jacket while it's in motion or it's rough waters.

Drowning.... Heights....Getting lost.

Thing is, I won't be terrified to get on a boat, look out the window or be disorientated that easily. It's just that I start picturing what it may be like if we were stuck in the middle of an ocean of enormous depths, or if I leaned over too much and fell off the edge, or if I found myself in some place I don't recognize and have been blindfolded to lose sense of which way is north.

crevasses - I like to back country ski and the thought of coming across one of these scares the life out of me.

Bad/idiot drivers - I ride my bike a lot on roads and whenever I see cars steaming up to junctions where I have right of way I always flinch because I never think I've been seen. Also doesn't help when I'm riding and people stick their arm out the window and slap me across the back.

I'm not usually scared of stuff, but here we go:

1 - Not Making it to Formula 1

This has been my ultimate dream in life, and if I don't achieve it, it'll drive me mad :ouch: .

I'm sure you realise how ridiculously hard F1 is to get into. It's like the radio 1 of motorsport, a lot of the time it isn't the best musicians on there but the ones who people can make the most money out of. Wish you all the best.

I do know how hard it is to get into F1, and thank you for the good luck wishes; I'll need it.

1. Moths
2. Drowning
3. Heights

I find it weird that I don't care about spiders or snakes or any of the other deadly sons of guns we have in Australia, but the harmless moths scare the absolute 🤬 out of me.

Well... I haven't really got any fears currently. But, I've had one; if people didn't like me. I can't really answer why I had that. It seems pretty weird right now, I think.

Not having control, or at least not having a little control of a situation.

Going to bed because then, the next day will begin.

Commitment.

My three main fears......

• Disease-carrying insects/animals - I have always been afraid of them (examples: Rats, fleas, Mosquitos), especially since I have diabetes (wounds heal slowly, cuts hurt a bit more, common cold cures much slowly) and I don't want any other disease. I always keep my window closed even in very hot weather (the fan is my only friend and ally). On a side personal note: read that so many members are afraid of spiders (just like my uncle) I personally learned love them. Spider, eat them insects.

• Heights, at least in certain situations like going up a ladder - I just go up 2 steps and can't go any further my body becomes paralyze with fear, or anywhere up without a railing to hold on to, or some other type of protection from falling.

•Dying in a Tsunami, ever since I have seen them on the news happening in Indonesia (2004) and Japan (2011), and in movies too. Just this night I had a terrible nightmare with this event, I woke up: sweating profusely, and heart pumping really fast, I actually feel my tears coming down my eyes, I could not go to sleep for about an hour.

and one I would like to mention, but thankfully remove from my fears:

• Running out of Diet Coke, I would become very worried, I would search all over the fridge/freezer, considering searching my other family's room in case I might find one. I started drinking more water, juice, and tea, and with doctor's recommendations/suggestions started drinking less and less soda. I was able to stand 4 days without soda, a personal accomplishment. Now my goal two weeks. Yes I still drink diet coke.

1. Dying alone or being alone like relationship wise. I don't really like it because overall I don't have close guy friends so it's my way of having someone around.

2. Tall Bridges really make my skin crawl, and I have to go to my happy place after some bridges. The worst for me as of now is Huey P. Long in New Orleans.

3. Failure, which has lead me to not try as much new. I'm still struggling daily with a career choice since my parents push me toward that but overall my mind goes into so many directions at all times. I don't go after things either because I don't know much about them/can't afford/ or just flat out have no clue where to start. If only I could find out what would be an ideal job for me, and only thing I can think of overall is something photography/design related because my mind always is designing how to build a car/truck, merchandise, and stuff like that.

1 Something bad happening to my kids
2 Something bad happening to my wife
3 Returning kidneystones. I have had troubles with it last year and it's so painfull, I am scared of it.

1. Dentists
2. Injections
3. Injection from a Dentist

Injections from a dentist should actually take the fear of pain away. But I guess that is different for anybody.

Shoot, I have to go to the dentis tomorrow morning. :scared:

-Drowning: Ever since playing Sonic 2 as a kid, that damn drowning music terrified the **** outta me. Always been afraid of it.
-Flies: Being in a room with thousands of flies in it scares the crap outta me.
-Getting trampled to death by an animal

God, some of the things on this thread scare the holy hell out me!!!

Slick Rick
1. Dentists
2. Injections
3. Injection from a Dentist

1. Not really.
2. Not extremely bad, (depending where you get stabbed)
3. Depends where in your mouth, I was clenching the chair when they put it in the roof of my mouth, but leaves you 100% numb.
