If you haven’t packed your bags and embarked to Germany yet, this would be an appropriate time. Gamescom (one of the world’s biggest gaming industry trade shows) has already started, providing piles of exciting content for gamers from now until August 21.
Luckily, some videos on GT Sport has already leaked out. The footage above shows what seems to be a new HUD for the game, as well as our first look at the Toyota S-FR in-game. The compact sports car was first seen at the Tokyo Game Show GT6 play session last year. From the video above we’ve taken a screenshot of the new HUD, and put it in direct comparison with the old HUD unveiled during the GT Sport London Event this past May.
Although the differences are not that obvious at first glance, it is clear the new HUD has changed considerably. Gone are the redundant gear and speed indicators, with the central ones staying in a slightly reshuffled layout below the central tachometer. The tire wear indicator on the left side is back, and so are the fuel and boost gauges, nestled within the larger speedo and tach, respectively.
The map layout is now doubled-up on screen, with an overview in the top right complementing the existing zoomed-in version between the gauges. Meanwhile, the brake and throttle indicators have migrated to either side of that central map. There are other little details that round the change quite nicely.
With Gamescom opening its doors to the public today, we’re expecting more news to begin trickling out on GT Sport and the rest of the driving games in Cologne. Stay tuned.

This Toyota S-FR is very cute and erotic. I would like to make love with it.
Hahaha man what a way to go.
So where is the PSVR, I want PSVR for GTS!
Lady BlinG BlinG totally forgot to shift and was more interested in the ingame spectators (like they are wearing different clothing).
Oh, the hud. I could live with that.
I like old fashioned look better.
GTSport needs to offer multiple ways to setup your Heads Up Display. When I played GT6 I always wished I could combine certain elements of one HUD with certain elements of another HUD. I never really loved any one single HUD. Customization is key!
Wait, not sure if I get you. What do you mean combine certain elements of one HUD with certain elements of another HUD. GT usually ships with one type of HUD, are you thinking HUD from other games or past GT’s? Even on PC, not sure if that is even an option outside of mods and not as developer intended.
Seems like it’s referencing GT3’s HUD in some ways.
I like it when you can bounce off other cars the walls on the grass and push your way through the pack and not slow down much, or spin out.
Like the new one better.. Hope gt sport will have everything gt6 has and more /better content and control over it in the options menu… Want to have gt faster, will get assetto corsa to celebrate soon release of gt.. Lol, hope it will keep me busy, you know physics is the most important thing in sim games, but still, many more things are needed to enjoy the game.. Hope people will support asetto corsa so team can earn cash and get bigger / stronger than ever.. Wish luck to all simulator game developers.. This year will be a blast in racing games..
I hope there will be an option to have an RPM gauge with analog needle and speed in digital, both moved to right corner of the screen
Gamescom is sold out.
The Toyota S-FR is butt ugly. DX
Still waiting on a new MR2.
Umm, i prefer the old hud
You mean the one with three speedometers and two gear indicators?
yeah the old HUD was very bad.
