im trying to prove that mopar sucks, but i guess i cant keep posting because mopar boy is stubborn about his viper.

Seriously dude, you are making everyone who likes GM look like a freaking moron! Go somewhere else!

How about all the Eunos Roadster/MX-5/Miatas. Such a tight cluster of cars which is the right choice for the Tsukuba Enduro? Does the heavier more powerful Series 2 model eat its tyres faster than the original lighter car? How about a Very used version and a 10k special if you feel like a big detailed test. Just how much does a car lose out from all those miles on the clock?

Have fun George

Sorry about the wait, I need to finish the Polyphony Cup with my Nissan Silva, I'll definatly start and maybe finish today.

Audi RS6

One of the fastest Audis, the super salloon version of the RS6 Avant.

Bhp - 443
Torque - 412.99 Ft.Lbs
Weight - 1840 Kg.

400 Meters Time - 12.858 Seconds.

1000 Meters Time - 23.472 Seconds.

Max Speed Test - 186.71 Mph.

Infineon Raceway Stock Car Course Lap Time - 1'26.349
T1 - 23.931 Seconds.
T2 - 49.397 Seconds.

The Audi RS6 is under estimated, mainly because it rivals the BMW M5 which is a sub supercar, but that dose'nt mean it can't perform.

A 400 meters time of 12.858 Seconds is around the same as a TVR 350C, but for a car that weights over 1800 Kg, it is'nt a bad time. 1000 meters came in 23.472 seconds, 3 seconds faster than a Lotus Elise 111R. But Max Speed was still to come, and it was brilliant, I never thought the Audi could reach 186 Mph, I was thinking 175 Mph fastest, but it did, and if the track was longer, 190 Mph would be possible.

The track I decided to use in this comparison was Infineon Stock Car Course, it's difficult first corners and fast last corners would test the four sub supercars to the limit.

The Audi felt great, its four wheel drive really helped, especilly on the first uphill corners, there was no understeer at all either, so the overall handling is very good. The brakes are brilliant aswell, extremelly strong and easy to keep control of.

A lap time of 1'26.349 could be a challenge for the other cars to beat, especilly because they don't have four wheel drive.

Out of all the cars I've driven on Gran Turismo 4, I think the Audi RS6 is one of the most under estimated, it's brilliant despite having less power than it's rival.

BMW M5

The BMW M5, one of the most powerfull super salloons, the M5 can rival some supercars.

Bhp - 499
Torque - 384.06 Ft.Lbs
Weight - 1715 Kg

400 Meters Time - 12.595 Seconds

1000 Meters Time - 22.107 Seconds

Max Speed Test - 201.84 Mph

Infineon Raceway Stock Car Course Lap Time - 1'21.546
T1 - 21.893 Seconds.
T2 - 45.754 Seconds.

The BMW M5 is a more powerful car than the Audi, and managed to beat it in every test carried out, 400 Meter time came in 12.595 seconds, beating the Audi, only just though, 1000 meters came in 22.107 seconds, beating the Audi by just over 2 seconds. The BMW is able to reach over 200 Mph, I reached 201 Mph, beating the Audi's speed of 186 Mph.

Infineon was'nt any better for the Audi, T1 came in 21.8 seconds, over 2 seconds faster than the Audi, and that was only by T1. T2 came in 45.7 seconds, nearly 4 seconds faster than the Audi, and to finish off, the BMW given a lap time of 1'21.546, beating the Audi by nearly 5 seconds.

I noticed the BMW had quite a large amount of understeer at certain corners, especilly the first 2 uphill turns, the brakes are good, easy to keep control of, but they are'nt as good as the Audi's.

So after testing these two cars and comparing thier results, I thinks it's safe to say the BMW M5 is more of a supercar than super salloon.

Chevrollet Corvette C5

The newest Corvette on Gran Turismo 4, it weighs only 1409 Kg

Bhp - 379
Torque - 357.96 Ft.Lbs
Weight - 1409 Kg

400 Meters Time - 13.105 Seconds

1000 Meters Time - 23.267 Seconds

Max Speed Test - 175.03 Mph

Infineon Raceway Stock Car Course Lap Time - 1'24.151
T1 - 22.232 Seconds.
T2 - 47.084 Seconds.

The Corvette C5, it's very light for an American Muscle Car, weighing in at just over 1400 Kg (1409 Kg), but it has the power disavantage of the group (379 Bhp).

400 Meters came in 13.105 seconds, loosing to both the Audi and BMW, 1000 meters came in 23.367, loosing the the BMW, and only just beating the Audi.

The Corvette has a very long 6th gear, so it was lacking accelration at 170+ Mph, a speed of 175.03 Mph lost to both the Audi and BMW.

Infineon was diffrent though, the Corvette had no way near as much understeer as I expected from an American Muscle car, and I found the brakes very good aswell.

The 'suprise' good handling given a T1 time of 22.232, behind the BMW but ahead of the Audi, T2 came in 47.084, positions the same while the finish time was 1'24.151, coming second in between the two German cars.

Dodge Viper SRT10

The Viper SRT10 could beat the other cars at speed staying in 5th gear.

Bhp - 499
Torque - 525.23 Ft.Lbs
Weight - 1533 Kg

400 Meters Time - 11.973 Mph

1000 Meters Time - 21.728 Seconds

Max Speed Test - 201.34 Mph

Infineon Raceway Stock Car Course Lap Time - 1'22.313
T1 - 22.153
T2 - 45.803

The Viper was by far the best performer at Test Course, beating the other three cars at all the events. 400 meters came in at 11.973 seconds, I expected lots of wheelspin, but infact the Viper was very clean of the line. 1000 meters was 21.728 seconds, beating the second placed BMW by 0.4 seconds. But the Max Speed test was I found the most astonishing, the accelration at 170+ Mph is brilliant, despite the long gears. A speed of 201.34 Mph secured it first place, but even more, it did'nt use 6th gear, I did'nt even redline gear 5. The Viper could go extremelly quickly if there were cars to draft.

More surprises at Infineon, the Viper has understeer, but no way near as much as I was expecting, it's time for T1 was very close the BMW M5's, and was even closer at T2, but it all seemed to fall apart between T2 and the finish, the BMW's time was nearly a second faster than the Viper's.

When it comes to speed and accelration, the Viper is the better car, but despite all having good handling, the BMW and Audi win there.
With the BMW M5 and Dodge Viper being the better of the four cars, the Corvette and Audi are still very good, they are just outclassed by the other two.

The Corvette is the cheapest, costing 53.000, the Viper costing 84,000, and the two German cars around 118,000 each.

Thanks for reading my comparison, I hope it helped you.

I stupidly started B Speccing the Sarthe 24 Hour Endurence last night, 21 hours in on 3X speed, I'll finish the comparison very soon though :)

Only have the Viper to test now, very annoyed as I was expecting a Bently Speed 8, I won an Audi R8, even worse, it was yellow

Finished.

Next list/comparison, top 10 bargins and top 10 rip offs (paragraph of info for each car).

This list shows what I think are the top 10 bargins and top 10 rip offs on Gran Turismo 4.

Top 10 Bargins.

1st - Buick Special
Price - 58,000

Well, what can I say? It's a brilliant car, great accelration and top speed, not bad cornering for a muscle car from the 60's either. All this comes for only 58,000, which is a very, very good price for such a brilliant car.

2nd - TVR Griffith 500
Price - 29,385

The TVR Griffith is very light, brilliant at cornering and can reach very high speeds (165+ Mph), the only thing holding it back from winning this thing is it lacks power compared to the Buick, a bit more power and it'd be perfect.

3rd - Ford Falcon XR8
Price - 450,000

450,000 May seem expensive for the car placed 3rd in the top 10 bargins list, but the Ford Falcon XR8 Race Car is brilliant, I have to admit, at first I did'nt like it, but I started liking it more and more, although the handling is'nt amazing, the accelration and top speed make up for that, the Ford Falcon XR8 is the biggest bargin race car in Gran Turismo 4.

4th - Chevrollet Camaro SS (2000 Model)
Price - 22,150

The Camaro SS is very good value for money, it has good handling, and for the class it's in, the accelration is'nt bad either, and for 22,000, anyone in need of a good cheap car, I reccomend it.

5th - HPA Motorsports Stage II R32
Price - 31,870

The HPA is the cheapest car avalible from the Tuning Cars Showroom, but it's definatly one of the better ones, despite having short gears, it can reach over 170 Mph, and is very good through corners. Priced at just under 32,000, it's definatly a car worth buying.

6th - Dodge RAM 1500 Hemi
Price - 37,930

The Dodge RAM is well known for it's ability to get 200 A Spec points in nearly every race it can enter, even in the Sunday Cup you can obtain 200 A Spec points very easily. That is the main reason why it's good value for money, but it's also very good against rival pick up trucks, it rivals the Ford Lightning, and can beat the Chevrollet Silverado Concept.

7th - Lotus Elise
Price - 41,060

The Lotus Elise range win over most other road cars with under 400 Bhp on long, winding tracks such as El Captain, this is due to it's brilliant cornering abilities and extremelly light body, and for 40,000, thats alot cheaper than say, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage (224,000) which the Elise would beat with ease.

8th - Dodge SRT/4
Price - 20,646

The only FF in the top 10 bargins, but it's a good one, the SRT/4 wins over all the FF cars in the same class, and costs less than most of them.

9th - Mercedes SL65 AMG (R32)
Price - 190,700

Ok, so you might be thinking 190,000 for a road car is'nt exactly a bargin, but the SL65 can be tuned to have over 1000 Ft.Lbs of torque, and with over 600 Bhp stock, it's a much cheaper alternative to the 600,000 Mercedes SLR McLaren.

10th - Proto Motors Spirra
Price - 80,000

The Spirra is a Sub-Supercar, it just lacks the power to keep up with the Pagani Zondas and Ford GT's, but for 80,000, the Proto is good value for money compared to the supercars that cost well over 120,000.

German Cars - 1
American Cars - 5
Australian Cars - 1
English Cars - 2
Korean Cars - 1
